This lens performs well in low light condition. Has some distortion, but photoshop or other softwares would correct it to a tolerable level. It is light weight, small and easy to use. It has a quick focus. I bought this lens for traveling photography, like churches, museums and other low light interior photography. I would recommend to buy an aftermarket lens hod (JJC LH-EW65C, $12.99). Attached pictures were taken with Canon R6 Mark II ISO 1000-3200. I would recommend this lens based on quality and price ratio.

I never write reviews but felt that I needed to for this lens. Picked it up today from the store after ordering it online. Sped home to rip open the box and mount it on my Canon RP. I spent the rest of the day taking pictures of any and everything around my house. The photos come out so clear and the wide angle of the lens allows for so much of the story to be captured in one photo. Attached are some of my favorite photos that I took today and have very minimal post-processing in Lightroom.

Amazing lens! Definitely a learning curve as to how to get the most out of such a wide angle lens, but this is more than just a novelty lens. It's hilarious to see something like a big tree you want to photography, then realize that with this lens you have to get within less than 10 feet of the tree to have it fill the frame. Super sharp, great clarity, and lens profiles already loaded in Adobe products. Some of the YouTube reviewers have said this lens is soft in the corners, but ultra-wide lenses would actually look strange if they were sharp corner-to-corner, that's just how perspective works... and it's not really that soft, you have to seriously zoom in to truly recognize any softness. In the attached shot, that tree is 30-40 feet high and I'm about 10 feet from it!
This is great lens for landscape with wide angle and sharpness. Also it’s useful for vlog creator.

This lens is compact, lightweight and offers exceptional image quality, the manufacture and materials feel of very good quality, I have tried it on the R8 and R5 and the quality is amazing, the autofocus control and the configurable ring of the RF series are perfect, it does not include the hood but it is a relatively cheap and indispensable accessory.

Very good prime lens for landscape photography only.

For a Full Frame wide prime, it's well worth the price. Sharpness is good in the center, weak at the very corners. It meets my expectation. Canon lens profile is available from day one.

Great lens for the price, and a great addition to my Canon R6. I have more expensive lenses, but I often find myself using this inexpensive 16mm and the even cheaper RF 50mm options. I've included some rainy night photos since I'm sure most other examples will be real estate / landscape shots.

The lens is great. I walked by the lenses to check pricing and noticed they were much cheaper than what I have seen online. I asked a worker to check the price and we scanned the QR code and the website said it was more expensive. He said they would not honor the price on the electronic tag. I said that is not right, you can't label something one price then say its more expensive once I'm interested in buying it. Multiple workers came over, they tried to update the tag saying it wasn't reading right. After about 10 minutes of being flustered, eventually he said he would honor the price. Once he rang it up, it rang up the lower price. So the website had the wrong price and he argued with me for 10 minutes for no reason. I just hope he didn't do anything to it because he was mad that I was right.

Excellent clarity on this lens, perfect for shooting rocket launches and I am really glad I had it with me when I crossed seeing the aurora borealis off my bucket list. Wonderful landscape lens!

This lens rivals the more expensive and heavy L series lens. This one is always on my camera body

So far I like this lens. It has a really nice wide angle for sure. No complaints so far, I use it a lot for general inside photography.
Great wide lens for the eos R system. Thanks Best Buy.

Creates massive lens distortions that make images look unflattering. Good for vloging as it is lightweight and wide, but I can no longer use it for real estate photography

Lens are dope, ive used them mainly for astrophotography and have been able to get some insane shots of the Milky Way. Super light, takes up no space; its a no brainer. These might be the only wide lens you need, and at 2.8 the’re decent for the price and focal length.

I upgraded to the Canon RP, my first mirrorless, and it's been a blast working with it. I love having a full bag of prime lenses for the type of work I shoot, and this one's no exception. Wide angle, clear shots, easy to use. Well worth the price.

Love this little lens! Takes amazing photos, used on my trip to Yosemite. I preferred this over my 24-105 f4 just because it captured so much more of course.
