Great starter telescope. Spent a lot of time researching and there are a lot of professional opinions that seem to contract each other. Got this one and is pleasantly surprised at the results. The only minor drawback is the stability of the stand, but not unreasonable for a beginner scope

Scope is very good but AZ mount is stiff and hard to use. Starfinder is useless. It does not line up well and adjustment seem impossible. Recomment scope with EQ mount for about $30 more and includes a regular finder scope. The Starfinder is just too close to the barrel for me to get my eye against it. Maybe my head is too big! LOL.

works pretty well. still figuring out the little button/little scope to the side. but is a great first telescope. got it originally for my 4.5 year old for christmas. when the moon is out right, you can really see the detail. thats really neat. we saw very faint rings on saturn one night way up in the N GA mountains where it was really clear and dark.

Nice telescope. Good for viewing the moon. Wish the start finder was further away from the telescope - it's hard to see unless you stoop down below the telescope.

Wife wanted a telescope for Christmas to star gaze now that we live in the country and the skies are so star filled at night... now i want to use it as much as she does!!! we really dont know much about the telescopes but this one suits our needs, light weight, easy to use, and not overly techy!!!

Bought for my son. We have tried it once so far. Great view of the moon. Can't wait to use it when it is not cloudy and cold.
