At half the price off the Inova, I went and got the chefman. It's awesome, made great beef ribs and steaks. Next, I'm about to try brisket.

I've had this sous vide for almost 3 months now and I've used it probably 3-4 times a week! I've always been awful at cooking chicken. I'm deathly afraid of under cooked chicken so I always over cook it and it's always super dry. The first time I made chicken with the sous vide, my world was changed! It has the convenience of a slow cooker but without all of the time wasted. I through chicken in a bag with some ingredients and set the sous vide for 155 degrees for maybe 2 hours then take it out and sear it and it's delicious! I've also made steaks that were phenomenal. I have yet to experiment with vegetables but that's next! I would definitely recommend this sous vide, especially for the price!

INTERESTING WAY TO COOK. WE’VE PASTURIZED EGGS, COOKED CHICKEN AND HAMBURGERS SO FAR THE FLAVOR HAS BEEN GREAT. NEXT PROJECT IS MAKING YOGURT. THE APPLICANCE IS EASY TO USE AND WORKS AS ADVERTISED. IT IS A LITTLE CUMBERSOME AND NOT SO USER FRIENDLY TO SET, BUT NOTHING MAJOR. GLAD THAT WE DIDN’T SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY ON THE BLUETOOTH VERSION. ONCE YOU SET THE TEMP AND THE TIME IS NO REAL REASON TO MONITOR THE PROCESS.

This is a good product; it is sometimes on sale at 59.99 and a that price it's unbeatable. It doesn't have BT or WiFi, but I honestly don't think having them adds much (I also own a different-brand unit that supports communication). As far as cooking goes, once you try a sous vide cooker, you won't put it down.

I like cooking a lot!! I got the Chefman because 1) the price was excellent 2) it looked like anyone can operate it. The benefit of sous vide is that you don't have to worry about cooking something correctly, no having to deal with feeling whatever you're cooking and wondering if it's done. No worrying about whether that item is still raw inside. I cooked salmon, which I did in a normal freezer bag. It was done in 20 minutes!! This is a new way of flawlessly cooking anything I'd like, and with minimal effort yet perfect results. Can't wait to see how far I can take my recipes!

This is super simple to use, works perfectly and made the best filet ever.

Liked it so much I bought another one within a week. That way I can have veggies or dessert cooking at the same time. I'm not sure you need all the bells and whistles of other models. Sure, I could use my smartphone with other models to turn it on and off, but who's going to put the food in it? I have to be there anyway. Yes, scrolling through recipies and just punching that in would be nice, but really isn't necessary if you want to save a buck and still have a great product. Meats come out better than any other cooking method. I promise you've never tasted chicken this juicy and perfectly done before!

I bought this during Black Friday sales and got it for a great price. It doesn't have Bluetooth or WiFi connectivity but for its price, it does a great job of cooking. I also bought a much more expensive Bluetooth/WiFi enabled sous-vide machine from Anova and this device from Chefman is as good as Anova in terms of cooking. I wish Chefman update their app and provide better and more accurate recipes and cooking temperature guidelines though (I noticed a few that are outright incorrect). But you can easily find out this info just by Googling, or you can also buy sous-vide cooking guide book.

My Anova kept falling into the water and breaking. This one has a better clamp and does the job just as well. It is slightly louder than the more expensive ones. Easy to use and set up

I was going back and forth between this and the Anova brand Sous Vide cooker. I ultimately landed on this as it was half the price of the Anova and "appeared" to have all the same features. It says that this is wifi capable and can be controlled with the app, this is not true. But that is not that big of a deal and I would not have paid the price for the Anova just for that feature. I really wish the spring clamp was removable, there is a screw that holds it on but the way the chord is routed through it, you'd have to break/cut the handle to remove it. This made the customization of my sous vide cooler a little more difficult. I have used it several times over the past month and the food has turned out great!

Works well. Made a great steak. Only reason I am giving 4 stars versus 5 is because the app needs some work. The device itself is really good.

It looks just like the $120 dollar one right down to the fact if the chefman logo wasn't on it, you wouldn't know the difference. Done a steak with it, turned out good. If you want the sous vide experience but don't want to pay the tech hipster price tag, pick this one up.

I have been looking at several Sous Vide's for a while, all my friends love them. When BB put this one on sell I jumped on it. So far so good.

I wanted a sous vide in which I could control via smart app. The description of this says it was able to, but the app did not have this function when I downloaded it. Decent item and the Black Friday price was a steal. Hopefully the app updates soon!

This works in any size container. It heats water quickly and maintains temp well. It eliminates guessing to get a perfect steak. Only negative is their website - not many recipes.

Best kitchen tool to cook any protein perfectly, helps preventing overcook meats

This is the easiest sous vie unit in the world. Set the temperature, set your vacuum bagged meat in the water bath and forget it. Brown the meat in the broiler after cooking, and you will have restaurant or better meats. NO MORE DRY MEAT!

A friend suggested trying this cooking tool because he thought it was easy to use. Couldn't agree more! First thing I tried was a boneless rib roast. Set the temp for 140. Browned it for 5 minutes in the oven. Amazing!
