Model 1520 - a work horse

The Model 1520 has a powerful and quiet motor mounted inside a sturdy casing. I was able to sharpen about 15 knives at one time without overheating the motor. The solid gripping knife guide secure the blade at the proper angle during sharpening. Use the 15 degrees slot for Asian knives to retain a sharp edge. The 20 degrees slot is meant for the American knives. I was able to sharpen my meat cleaver and the serrated bread knife with this machine. Sharpening a small pocket knife is not as easy because of the guides.
