Q: Hello.If there is no android device nearby, but only iOS, will the tag transmit a signal?
A: I don't think so. Android and Apple haven't made a agreement like that yet. This product would definitely work better in areas with more Android devices than Apple. Of course, if your nearby you could find it. I would also like to mention that the range the signal can transmit, especially for simple tags, is higher than Bluetooth headphones for example.
A: Not sure, but in my case I had FMD installed already, and the device paired easily when I followed the onscreen prompt to "push the button" and hold it near my phone. It chirped that time. I later tried adding the Chipolo App and "pairing," but it wouldn't chirp again when pressing the button and would not pair with the chipolo App. I'm not sure if that's a bug or a feature! I'm not sure if the Chipolo One Point is supposed to work ONLY with FMD, or should work with both, or for that matter whether the Chipolo App has any advantages of FMD. If you DON'T have (or want) FMD, I don't know if it would pair (on first pairing) to the Chipolo App.
