I was surprised that I enjoyed this movie. There many people who have important places to be on Christmas Eve. The power in New York City, a section of a large area, goes out. It is interesting how groups and individuals cope with not only missing the traditional Christmas concerts, seeing family members or friends and are instead are stuck in elevators with people they hardly know or strangers. It was better than I ever guessed it would be.

Patrick Stewart headlines this ensemble cast. A number of people get trapped in different elevators on Christmas Eve due to a power failure. They have time to talk, reflect, and see that things aren't always what they seem to be inside their lives, jobs, families, friends, incomes etc. They all learn the true meaning/spirit of Christmas through multiple accounts of intercession and communication..Good Movie!!

Six different groups of people are trapped in elevators in NYC on Christmas Eve due to a power outage. Film shows how people deal with their predicament in the company of total strangers. All had other places to be, but had to make the most of their situation.

This story was not what we were expecting in a Christmas story/movie. We were not very focused on it when we watched it, so perhaps we will like it better the second time. We do like Patrick Stewart, however don't feel his part did much to show his abilities. Again, perhaps we will like it better the next time we try watching it. Until then we can't really recommend it.

I really had to pay attention to this movie while watching it. There were so many different story lines going on. I really liked many of the actors in it and thought it was going to be better. Maybe it was just too much to follow? I'm not sure. It wasn't an awful movie but I can't see me watching it a second time.

We enjoyed this Christmas story. Several separate plot lines came together nicely at the end. You felt like you spent and evening with some interesting characters.

Watched for the first time over the holidays. It was a little slow in the middle but sent an overall heartwarming message about family.

Good movie with several plot lines. Similar to movie of same title from 1950s-1960s.

There are a lot of Christmas movies available but I would really not recommend this one. It is a bit boring.
