I love it. It is actually lightweight a lot people say it is heavy and it’s not it feels great in the hand and it worths really well but msi does need to fix their software but other than that it is really good I also love the color

I’ve owned most of the popular handheld PCs since the Steamdeck released. None have been perfect, but in my experience, MSI delivers the best balance of performance, build quality, and software. The Claw 7 and 8 AI+ were the gold standard, although the 7 had too small of a screen and battery and the 8 was a little clunky to hold. When MSI moved to the AMD A8, they also changed the ergonomics of the device for the better. Performance wise, the A8 doesn’t feel noticeably more powerful than the 8 AI+, yet the MSI software feels snappier. Build quality is great too, and this device is easily the most comfortable device for my medium adult hands outside of the ROG Xbox Ally X. The screen is the same as on the 8 AI+ and is one of the better LCD displays on portable PCs. It’s clear, bright, and looks great. Where does the A8 lack? Compared to the 8AI+, it runs louder and warmer. Compared to the SteamDeck, it’s slightly less comfortable and the device requires more effort than SteamOS out of the box. Compared to the ROG Ally and Ally X, it’s a tremendous upgrade. Compared to the Legion Go 1, it’s more powerful and comfortable. Compared to the LeGo2 it has a smaller non-OLED screen and is easier to hold, with similar performance and 60% cheaper. Compared to the ROG Xbox Ally X it has a better display, slightly lower performance (higher resolution) and is only slightly less comfortable to hold. The price on all of these devices is getting out of hand. The Claw A8, even at its current price, represents a decent value on the market for what you get.

Really sad at how terrible this thing was. I really wanted it to be great. It kept getting stuck in game mode even on the desktop so the mouse was gone. And it wouldn’t update drivers.
