I haven't had a chance to use it much but, it has some nice feature for the price. The only thing I really wish it had was the ability to send video to my phone over Bluetooth but for the price I still think it deserves five stars. There are certainly better cameras out there but at a much higher price. I performed a hard wire install of this camera in my wife's 2016 Outback using the Cobra hard wire kit, Add-A-Circuit mini for low profile fuses, and a rear view mirror mount. Install was a bit time consuming but it turned out great. I am going to supply the details of my install on the off chance that an outback owner needs some help installing. For my application the Y cable worked great. I was able to hide the Y in the overhead counsel and run the single wire through the trim piece my mirror wires were routed through. I then routed the power and rear cam wires under the headliner to the passenger side then routed the power under the dash to the fuse box. I did this because Subaru installed the remote start receiver on the driver side Piller and I did not want to interfere with reception. I then routed the rear camera wire along the headliner on the passenger side to the middle of the rear hatch. I then removed the cargo area light housing (it just pops out) so that I could run the wire through the factory wire housing to the door. I also had to remove the upper rear door trim you have to pry the left and right corners to release the clips then pull straight off. I also removed one end of the conduit to make feeding the the wire easier.

Wouldn't be without a dash cam. Granddaughter was driving my Suburban and a large van blew through a stop sign on a rural highway. The dash cam was recovered by the highway patrol which left absolutely no doubt that the other driver was at fault.

works phenomenally, has great resolution even on lower settings, the GPS and speed tagging between the app and GPS mount is a fantastic feature, only issue I have is both need to be ran for full functionality, GPS mount supplies the speed tag, the app supplies the GPS coordinates and map data. but even so the map data is sensitive enough to show which lane you're driving in as you go down the road. the shock sensor works great, even on its most sensitive it takes a pretty significant amount to make it register, very easy to use. very good price for the quality of it.

This is.my 3rd dash cam. I originally bought a Rexing because it has a rear camera. The first one quit after 9 months. I replaced it with another Rexing. That one lasted a year and a half and I'm glad I had the extended warranty. This time I went with Cobra. They have been around many years and are well known. I had Cobra CB radios in my cars n the 70s and they were reliable. I really like the Cobra so far...good picture resolution and the controls are easy to navigate. The night time screen looks good too. I still need to hook up the rear camera. I also like that the camera is quick and easy to take off the front mount so it doesn't get hot when you are parked in the hot sun. I think that's what happened to my Rexing dash cams. I will update this in a few months.

Easy to use Great features. The wires feel awkward

I really want to like this camera. It's so easy to hookup and use and has great pictures during the day. Unfortunately the video at night is completely useless. It almost pitch black and the only thing you can make out is blurry lights. The rear camera is even worse. Fortunately I do most of my driving during the day but still I'm shocked by the substandard quality. Even most cheap cameras these days have some type of night vision. From a longtime company like Cobra it's really disappointing.

Ive never purchased a dash cam before but Id say that the quality is worth the money. I do have to say that the camera is a little difficult to install due to there there being quite a few wires (and long ones) and one of them has to extend to the rear of the car for the rear camera. If you don't care whether or not the wires are visible, it shouldn't be too big of an issue. The rear camera is pretty much useless at nighttime (this may be due to the tints or even the body of the vehicle, we installed it on a hatchback coupe). Regardless, it is a great starter dash cam, I got a great deal on it, and I always feel safe purchasing from best buy!

These cameras have good clear pictures, even though they are on a split screen. There are only 4 negatives I have discovered to date. First is the lane departure system is to sensitive! It beeps on every little move. Second, the cord to the rear camera is way to short. It should be 3 feet longer to be tucked in and concealed. The third is that it's annoying to have to buy an adapter to be able to view the video on a computer and lastly; there should be extra adhesive mountings provided to place the device in multiple vehicles.

I like this dash cam for the extra feature as forward collision warning and lane departure warning. This will be good for teens learning to drive as it gives a sound to keep them concentrated on the road. It may be annoying at first bit you will get used to it. Set-up was easy and the wire was long enough for my Juke and RAV4. You need to buy a 3M adhesive as the supplied one does not stay. The issue I am most concerned about is once it's dark, it does not change into a night mode to have a better video on the device screen. I have not connected it yet to a computer to view a recording so clarity wise, I cannot make a comment yet. Overall, I am pretty satisfied at this time. I will update the review, as soon as I watched the video in a bigger screen.

It is easy to install. Works really well although the screen is too small to be used unless holding it up close to see. Also, the memory card I bought to go in it, is not recognized by the camera.

I was told by many legal friends that having a dash cam is a must in this litigious society. So I bought this front and rear cam dash cam and I feel great owning it. It works amazingly well. Was so easy to install. I feel "safer" having it on when I'm driving. This is a must have and this is a great little dash cam. Must buy!!!

The wires are exposed.so if that's going to annoy u dont get it... records an intervals of 3 min Also I downloaded the app and that's the most pointless thing ..maybe I'm using it wrong but I dont see the purpose of the app .its 2 separate camera I have one in the dash and the other in the back window ... the holder ir stand way unsticks I constantly find my camera on the floor . Low key have a panic attack thinking it got robbed then I see it on the floor .

So far it’s not bad. I’m still waiting to get it professionally installed so I don’t have the wire hanging down in front of my dash but I can tell you I feel a little bit better knowing it’s there. I’ve heard too many stories of people getting screwed over by someone when it wasn’t their fault so I’m happy these little cameras will help keep me protected.

This has been a great buy. It is fairly easy to use and install. I bought this after an accident, and decided that for the future it will be easier than hoping a person didn't lie about what happened.

Great camera, easy to setup. Only con I have is that the front camera using a 3m tape rather than the suction cup thing so it's pretty much impossible to move, but at least once you install it, it's VERY secure

I already have a back up camera, but after being hit and the person moving her car so we couldn't even get a picture of what she did, Ii added this. I actually use it in addition to my mirrors when changing lanes. I love it.

Easy set up, I leave it on all the time and it does not disconnect by itself.

It works fine so far. I am a bit upset that they decreased the price right after I purchased it. Seems shifty. This is not the first time Best Buy has done this either. I think they wait until a few items move then lower to price. This model is supposed to notify you of speed traps etc. Not a working function for some reason

Reasonably easy installation and functions well. If there's any concern with this product, it's not the product itself but the accuracy and timeliness of the iradar app. I wouldn't count on it to warn you of speed traps in time to avoid detection.

I’m gonna have to be honest, it’s a great buy but it is glitchy when you hit a bump or bumps. The back window camera always has issues if you hit a bump to hard and too fast. Liked the brand but will consider a different one next time.
