Blue Bell Knoll 1988's finest half-hour

Earlier Cocteau Twins albums were not reaching for pop stardom. This one sounds like they were -- drum machines and layers of guitars and vocals. BLUE BELL KNOLL was life changing. Maybe even some real words sung by Liz in her most Cinderella-sings-to-the-birds moments! If you've never heard the twins, start here. Or with Heaven or Las Vegas. Then Victorialand, Four-Calendar Cafe, Treasure, Moon and The Melodies. OR compilations Lullabies To Violaine - Volume 2 then Lullabies To Violaine - Volume 1.
