I recently built my first gaming pc and decided on the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition. After a few weeks of use, I’m thoroughly impressed with both its performance and presentation. Installation & Build Quality The installation process was surprisingly straightforward. The mounting system is intuitive, and everything you need is included in the box. Whether you're experienced or a first-time builder, you shouldn’t run into issues. Once installed, the cooler feels solid and secure, with no unnecessary flex or movement. Aesthetics Visually, this cooler is a standout. The all-black design, from the heatsink to the fan and brackets, gives it a sleek, modern look that blends beautifully into any build—especially darker or RGB-lit setups. It adds a touch of understated style without being flashy. Performance Most importantly, the Hyper 212 Black Edition does an excellent job at keeping temperatures in check. My CPU stays cool even under load, and what's just as impressive is how quiet the fan is while doing it. It runs almost silently, even during intensive tasks or gaming sessions, which is a huge plus for anyone sensitive to noise or using their PC in a quiet environment. Conclusion Overall, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition offers outstanding value. It combines easy installation, effective cooling, and premium aesthetics in a very affordable package. For anyone looking to upgrade their stock cooler or build a quiet, good-looking rig, this cooler is a top-tier choice.

The Cooler Master - Hyper 212 120mm CPU Cooling Fan - Black Edition worked as advertised. This was just used until my new AIO came in. Only issue I had was that I couldn't use my vertical GPU mount for my graphics card as the unit was too large to allow the mount to fit. Not a real issue but i wasn't happy that I had to place my card in the PCie slot. Temps were fine on the CPU and never did I have any issues. Fan was not loud at all. Overall a soild unit.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition is one of the most popular budget CPU coolers on the market. Known for its reliable performance and affordable price, it’s a solid upgrade from most stock CPU coolers. Design and Build Quality The Hyper 212 Black Edition features a sleek all-black design with a brushed aluminum top cover, giving it a clean and modern look that fits well in most gaming PCs. The cooler uses a tower-style heatsink with four copper heat pipes that make direct contact with the CPU to improve heat transfer. Cooling Performance For its price, the Hyper 212 delivers impressive cooling performance. It can handle mid-range CPUs during gaming and everyday workloads without overheating. Tests show that it can significantly reduce temperatures compared to many stock coolers, making it a good choice for budget PC builds or light overclocking.

I have a 5950x. The other cooler I had, 92mm heatsink and fan, stock speeds, 3.4ghz stock ac, 4.5ghz ac and 4.9ghz oc, at full load was around 80-84c. With this cooler and a Delta AFB1212GHE-CF00, keeps it cool around 70c with oc at 4.7ghz ac full load. I also have five of those case fans running at 100% all the time, yes it is loud as heck and yes I wear ear protection any time using my pc. But the results are amazing. I am also running a 4090 and even at full load, I am staying around 50-52c, which is great for air cooling. I am also drawing 750-900watts from the wall on full load. Anyway, get this cooler and pair it with that delta fan and you will be set for cooling. I am assuming you understand and have conpleted the CompTIA 220-xxxx cert and know what your doing. https://www.newegg.com/delta-afb1212ghe-cf00-case-fan/p/N82E16835213001

Using this until I decide on an AIO. It's currently attached to a 7800x3d that idles around 31°C and may reach mid 70s under load. And it's virtually silent. Well worth the 30 bucks. There's extra clips included for another fan but I haven't needed more than the one

Works excellent as a cooler, very stable temps even under prolonged cinebench loads. This would be a 5 star product if not for the atrocious mounting bracket. It is very difficult to get on, especially by yourself if you have a large case as you need to hold both sides of the mobo in place as you screw into the bracket, it is also very easy to over tighten and cause warping, leading to poor CPU contact. Be careful getting this on your machine, but once it's on it's phenomenal.

Way better than a faulty liquid-cooled one. I replaced the bad liquid cooler on my PC. The process was fast and super easy. My PC is running cooler than before and quieter.

I ended up going with this over the rgb for a black build and I would say I’m overall impressed. Keeps temps below 70 Celsius on most anything i throw at it. This cooler is also surprisingly quiet for the price and performance.

Bought this cooler due to the stock CPU cooler not cooling enough, I was pulling about 86°C with the stock cooler (WACK IKR!?!?) installed IMMEDIATELY and the temp on my CPU has not passed 75°c 10/10!! Very easy to install and very quick to work!

Quiet and great at heat dispersal, didn't need anything showy but was going for function over fashion.

Very simple to install. My older AIO liquid cooled system that came with my computer was failing - either the thermal paste was bad or the pump wasn’t working well, so I replaced it with this unit. Everything you need is in the box including the thermal compound, MasterCool Pro. Previous idle temps were in the low 40’s, with full load temps in the 90’s on an i7-8700K CPU at base clock of 3.7Ghz all-core. Now my idle temps are in the 28-30 range and under full load I hit low to mid 50’s. BIG DIFFERENCE! Also, it’ll clear four DIMMS no problem, even taller ones. So if you’re worried if the fan will interfere with your RAM, don’t sweat it.

Fantastic thermals, especially for the price. This thing pulls some impressive thermals with the proper air flow in a case. On my old ryzen 5800x, i have yet to see the temps go above 80 degrees Celcius! The game im using to benchmark that is the finals, which if you dont know destroys CPU's. My 9800x 3D in ny current build pulls about 80-85 degrees celcius with my older AIO 360mm water cooler. Keep in mind the power draw on my current CPU is much higher and naturally will generate more heat, but none the less very impressive!

Super easy to install, very very quiet, way more mounting hardware options than I will ever need, and keeps my CPU super chilly! Idles at 29 degrees and barely gets over 50 on a full load (i5 9400f). For the price, I really don't see ever needing anything more for a long while. Super happy I upgraded!

My OEM CPU fan was dying and causing overheating issues so I needed a quick replacement. I was a little hesitant to get this one since it was significantly bigger than the original fan, but I've never had trouble with Cooler Master stuff before and I do game a lot, so it was worth getting in the end. I have an MSI B450M Bazooka with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600. This came with all the necessary pieces to install, plus a small tube of thermal paste, which was nice. It was pretty easy to install. I did have to remove my GPU to get the bottom fan bracket on, but that was no problem. The brackets that hold the fan in place had me a little wary at first since they didn't seem super secure, but once I get them on there they were plenty snug. It also comes with extra items in case you want to attach a second fan. This fan is incredibly quiet, even when I'm running intensive games. It also keeps my PC much cooler than my old fan. Even though this was kind of an emergency purchase, overall I'm very pleased with it, and it was an inexpensive upgrade from my original fan. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking to replace your original fan and looking for a middle ground upgrade.

I went out to grab this version of the Hyper 212 Black edition fan since my older version of the same model (it seems?) was starting to have really weird ramp ups so I decided to purchase this refreshed version of the CPU fan and its working excellent!! (Installing it is pretty simple as well, which I very much so value in addition to other things) Condition is great, the fan is working as intended and my issue was resolved just by replacing the fan. If you're looking to purchase this fan, you will NOT regret it.
