Go this watch in January and it’s been nothing but amazing. I’ve ran a marathon and a half marathon with it. Would recommend to anyone.

This is a wonderful training tool for runners. The value/price relation is the best in the market, having plenty of functions. The pressicion is great. It comes with a whole training platform that helps you set and reach your goals. It has an active community and the bran usually adds user requested features. Totally recommended.

This is a very good entry level watch, if you are looking for a fitness (and perhaps ideally, running-biking-swimming) watch with some smartwatch features. If you want the functionality of a smartwatch with some fitness features, you probably want something else. Pros: Strong battery life Strong GPS capabilities Good app and stat keeping Competitive programming for data/training with other watches in this basic category Extremely lightweight and comfortable Reasonably easy to use with combination of touchscreen and buttons Fast charging Should be able to connect and control camera (go pro) from watch if that’s something you like. Maybe not great: MIP screen (some people will like this, others might really dislike it) Sporty look—all plastic/fiber and not super sleek; watch faces are somewhat limited Not able to stream music; ability to download mp3s directly to watch with enough storage for plenty of songs. Step counting seems a bit erratic Course programming possible, but no onboard maps (not typical at this price point) If you’ve had a smart sport-focused watch before, the Pace 3 is probably going to be easy to operate and you’ll likely be fairly familiar in its main capabilities. It’s built for tracking data and training, and it’s not a sleek bells and whistles smartwatch. It can connect to your phone and pipe notifications and alerts to your wrist, which is nice if you’re wanting that, but you can also leave these settings off. So if you want a watch that won’t interrupt you every 5 seconds, this watch is happy to be that. It won’t listen to you and take commands, as some of the newer smartwatches are doing these days. In limited time testing it, I’ve compared it with another watch, also a sport-focused one, though in a much more expensive bracket. I found that the Pace 3 was reliably in tune with the fancier watch when it came to most of the data collected that was in common. One general note: pretty much all wearables I know of interface with apps for full functionality. That means, potentially, some big assumptions about signing over your privacy and personal data to the company behind your watch. It’s probably worth thinking about if you’re ok with that. If you’re already tracking your runs (or other activity) with a third-party site like Strava, you’re already negotiating this a bit (and yes, the Pace 3 will send data to Strava or other third parties). It’s just something to think about no matter what watch you might ultimately buy. Now…back to functions… So for your basic functions of GPS tracking, heart rate monitoring, pacing, etc. this watch will track most metrics. It does have some features like projected best times (it seems somewhat optimistic about my abilities), “running fitness” (I guess this is telling you how fit you are compared to how fit you might be?), training load, hrv (and sleeping hrv), and a variety of coaching programs that can be loaded from the Coros website. It also tracks you “training status,” estimating if you are increasing or decreasing your fitness, and perhaps showing which workouts are allegedly the most productive. You’ll find these kinds of features on other watches, but, I’ll just say that it seems less common to get this much data and active tracking at this price point (at least in my experience). I didn’t try the training and workout programs in the limited time I’ve had with the watch, though I did attempt to mess with them and at least get one loaded on the watch. It seems a little convoluted as a process. Once on, it seems like they will work fine, but there’s a learning curve to figuring the integration of watch, app, website. I’ve included a screen shot in this review from a threshold run session (warm up, threshold run for 16 minutes, recovery, second threshold run, slower 10 minute cool down). This should give an idea of some of the data that will show from a session. (Also, it shows how sensitive the watch is. I was running with my dogs, and they produce some erratic data because of a bunch of stopping and starting for sniffs and other activities, which the Pace 3 tracked accurately, and that’s why my graphs look so weird). The Pace 3 tracked distance, HR, pace, etc. very close to my other watch. I have no idea which is more accurate, really, but that they were very close seems to indicate either that the Pace 3 is not losing a step. I used it on the treadmill too, and it tracked pretty well. The Pace 3 also has very strong battery life and should keep up well between charges. With GPS usage and indoor activities, I found the Pace 3 to be a strong performer, though this will definitely drain it faster. Expect to charge in a week or so, a little sooner if you use GPS + music. A caveat on battery life: partly these strong results come from a few choices the watch makes, like to record HR data every ten minutes instead of every minute. You can change this, but it will use more battery. It has an MIP screen. I am perfectly fine with the MIP screen, but it is not as spiffy and adaptable as an AMOLED screen as on many of the Pace 3 competitors, and especially on those more smartwatch-first wearables. My biggest issues with the watch are the readability of the main watch faces, which I don’t find all that great, and some fiddly operation. It has operation via touchscreen plus two buttons. The main top button also can twist, allowing scrolling action without using the touchscreen. That’s a big plus, but the operation feels a bit twitchy. The watch is also super lightweight (which is awesome, I really liked that), but it seems vaguely cheap. This is unfair, because a lot of watches in this category that are looking to be light are also on the plasticky side of things. The other big question mark here is the music player. I am old and I’m perfectly happy to load mp3s onto a watch rather than use streaming services. It’s gotten more difficult to do that anyway, in the last year, since Amazon changed their prime music policies to not allow downloads anyway. Regardless, if you’re my generation, it’s not big deal to load up a bunch of workout tunes from an mp3 file using the USB connection on the watch. However, once the music is loaded, I could find no way to really organize it. It seems like there is NO navigation or playlist capability. It doesn’t seem to even know about folders. So, organization of music seems like a weak spot. That said, I didn’t have any problem connecting Bluetooth earbuds or listening to the music installed. For the price, I think you get a lot with this watch if you are looking for sport features and especially if you’re a runner, biker, or swimmer looking to get fitter or training for an event. If you want a pretty screen, a sleeker look, and more smart features, look to something else.

For the price listed, this full-featured sport and activity tracker represents tremendous value. What I particularly like about this device: - Thin and light design - Very long battery life - GPS with pinpoint accuracy and programmable features - Spot-on accuracy for heart rate detection - Excellent data analysis following training sessions - Training tips and guidance through the Coros app I am less enthusiastic about: - Dim (but still readable) watch face - Some less than intuitive on-screen navigation; modest learning curve I am particularly happy with the quality of the data analysis I get from every training session. I am sure that I will be able to see areas on which I can focus for improvement. This is not a “smart watch” that one would wear to make a fashion statement. You are not going to stream music (although you can load some mp3 files if you have the patience), nor make phone calls with this device. However, if you are serious about improving your physical performance the Coros will be a perfect guide. I can recommend the Coros Pace 3 highly for any fitness enthusiast.

Coros Pace 3 I’ve had my eye on the Coros Pace for over a year because it’s more affordable than the other 2 leading brands I’ve used for running. (I’ve had an Apple Watch 6 and 7, and a Garmin 265 Forerunner used for running previously.) Over the past year I’ve competed in 4 half-marathons, and about 25 5/10K races. I’ve been curious what the Coros Pace has to offer. After 4 runs, a walk, and a hike with the Coros Pace 3, I can tell you that it can compete with the heavyweights. I’ll start by discussing the key components that make this watch a success in my opinion. Full disclosure, I took a 3 month baby break after the birth of my son, to help out the wife, so I’m getting back in a shape after a short layoff. I’m currently training for a 10k in early April so I’m focused on running, stretching, and strength exercises. Accuracy - To begin I ran a 6.3 mile run with the Coros Pace 3 and my current Garmin running watch so that I could see if there were any key differences. Much to my surprise, the distance calculation, my pace, and my heart rate were dead-on. I really couldn’t believe the Pace 3 was so accurate. I did notice a couple of spikes on Heart rate, but I’ve seen this with all 3 of my previous running watches. However, the average heart rate and periodic checks of both watches were very close, and average heart rate was exactly the same as my Garmin at the end of my run. Impressive! Metrics - This is where the Pace 3 shines. The app is full of running metrics. The Coros App gives you everything you expect and it’s neatly laid out across the screen, and easy to read. I find the Coros app the easiest to read, and most comprehensive compared to my previous running watches. It calculates your training load to give you an idea of when to rest and when to train. I personally play close attention to training load so that I can prevent injury and illness due to overtraining. I also like to track my HRV so that I can see when I might be coming down with an illness. I also like to evaluate my runs for cadence, heart rate, pace, elevation, running power, and even stride-length to see how I’m progressing. Readability - I had no problems reading the watch while running but I do find the screen less bright than my previous watches. The screen is about 1.25” and it is a touchscreen. I did find the touch screen a little less receptive than previous watches. There is a good library of watch faces so that you can get the metrics, color, and size to your liking. I actually created a custom watch face in about 5 minutes for my runs. Battery - Same as my Garmin 265. They literally both used 10% the first day. The Coros Pace 3 has an exceptional battery. I’m pretty active so I would expect mine to last about a week to week and a half. Navigation - There’s breadcrumb navigation. I used this in a recent half-marathon that helped me navigate through a confusing neighborhood. There’s dual frequency gps that helps guide you. You can setup a route before a race, mark water stations or key areas, and then load it to your watch. Pretty cool! I’ve had to use 3rd party apps for these features previously, but Coros integrated this into the watch. Wearability - Very lightweight band and watch, seems to stay on my wrist adequately. No complaints. If you need a nylon band they are available online. Button Layout - I prefer the button layout the most on the Coros Pace 3. There are only 2 buttons so no confusion that I find on other watches. It’s simple and it works. I love the fact that you have to hold down the button for 3 seconds when you haven’t accessed the watch in a while. This prevents any unnecessary pushes and also keeps my little guy from changing the settings on my watch! It also requires a 3 second push when you’re done with a run so that you don’t accidentally finish a run prematurely. Great job Coros! Music - You can add MP3s to your music library on your watch. I don’t really have any MP3s but I will be downloading a few now so I can set my music library. Sometimes I like to listen to music when I’m running or working out. No downloading from Spotify or similar apps. Syncing with Apps - I personally sync my watch to Strava but it looks like it syncs to a variety of other apps. It also lets you control a GoPro or Insta360. Sleep - I pay close attention to my sleep patterns and Coros gives you the typical sleep data so you can analyze the quality of your sleep. There’s also an optical pulse oximeter to measure your oxygen levels. Now for other details… Sports - This watch has the full spectrum of sport types. Swim, Bike, Run, Hike, Walk, Workout, Indoor, Outdoor, Etc… I do like how it gives you the option to Outdoor Run, Indoor Run, Trail Run, or Track Run. Swimming can also be pool or open water, and Biking can be indoor or outdoor. Workouts - They have a great selection of workouts on the Coros App. I’ve downloaded runs specific to how I want to train. I also downloaded a variety of strength workouts that not only guide you on how to build strength in key areas, but also offer detailed explanations of how to work out. I can’t understate how good the explanations are on the workouts. For example, you get an image, a description, an action description, a tip of what to focus on, what part of the body you’re training, and more. There are also pros that offer comprehensive workouts. Pace really shines in this category. You will love the library of workouts! Training Plans - Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, running a 5k or a marathon, Coros has training plans to help you stay focused and hopefully reach your goals. I will most likely choose a new plan after my 10K race in early April. There are an impressive amount of additional features available on this watch. You will most likely still be discovering things a week later. I just realized it can predict an incoming storm by realizing the drop in barometric pressure and will notify you. (This isn’t a default option so I actually turned it on on the settings.) If you have your eye on the Coros Pace 3, it’s an excellent option for an active lifestyle. It absolutely warrants consideration and is most likely your most affordable option. I would highly recommend it for its rich feature set, comprehensive app, and detailed analysis of everything from your training to your rest. You can even email a set of coaches with general questions for free. I like what Coros is doing here. They are a serious competitor. Pros *Accuracy *App is top-notch *Workout Library *Detailed analysis and easy to read *Every metric you could dream of after a workout Needs work *Screen could be brighter *A couple of hiccups on Heart rate but 99% of the time I had no issues, HR average was dead-on *No syncing music with Spotify *Touch Screen wasn’t as receptive as I would like, but the turn dial works very well

The Coros Pace 3 is a lightweight full featured smart GPS sports watch. Due to the materials used in the watch, it is much lighter than other smart watches. The watch band is rubber and feels good on your wrist. The clasp for the wrist band is designed to prevent the wrist band from coming loose and since the wrist band is rubber, it flexes when it needs to which keeps the watch comfortably on your wrist whether you are lifting weights, doing cardio, biking, or running. The battery lasts much longer than my previous smart watch. The watch lost 6% charge in 24 hrs. even with the stress monitoring feature turned on. According to Coros, you can save battery life by turning that feature off, but even with it on, I would be able to get a couple of weeks out of a single charge. The Pace 3 comes with a charge cable. Unfortunately, the charge cable is very short. Hopefully, in the future, Coros will include a much longer one. Charging doesn't take too long, so that isn't a problem with the Pace 3 and it displays the charge percentage prominently on the watch's display making easy to see. The touch screen display is easy for me to see in bright daylight. At night, in low light, I would have to press a button to brighten the screen to be able to see the display, but it was bright and easy to read once that was done. The watch supports GPS which seemed to be accurate. There was a time when I was out with it exercising and ended up walking through a building. The watch lost GPS signal, which caused to watch to not be able to calculate stride length or cadence. It continued to monitor everything else while it had lost GPS signal and it picked up tracking cadence and stride length once I exited the building. The watch face can be changed to any one of many available from Coros. You can save some of them directly to the watch and change them as you choose. Coros also made the Pace 3 to store music. You can connect the Pace 3 to a computer and download songs that you want to listen directly to the watch. The watch can also connect wirelessly to headphones. It would be nice to see a firmware update that enables you to control your iPhone/Android phone's music player for those who wish to use their Android or iPhone device. You need to be able to use the app if you get the watch. The app is supported on iOS and Android. There are many features to the app and watch. One of the app features is that you can plot your route ahead of time if you are running, walking, or biking. The Pace 3 also syncs data with the app so you can view the paths involved in each exercise session and you can see all of the data the Pace 3 tracks associated with each exercise session. I found the layout of the app to be good and it was easy to find all of the things I needed to see. The app also features a workout calendar. This allows you to plan your workouts and helps to keep you on track. There are also workout plans and training plans you can download from Coros. The app also lets you create your own. Another feature of the app is it's ability to integrate with other apps. You can setup Apple Health as well as other apps so that your health information and exercise information is visible to those apps. An example of another app integration is Relive. I use Relive for biking and walking, but with the integration, I can use the Pace 3 for those and when I'm done with a walk or biking, the Coros app will make that available to the Relive app. This makes it so much better as I don't' have to have multiple apps open when exercising. I can just use the Pace 3 watch and once it syncs with the Coros app, the app makes it available to other apps. I have to give a hand to Coros for supporting integrations with 3rd party apps. The watch is easy to setup and configure. Checking firmware version and downloading and installing firmware updates was easy. I'm pleased with the Pace 3 and I'm glad to see a sports watch manufacturer integrate with other 3rd party apps. Coros has made a good watch and has kept the price down to something reasonable. Some people may not like the display, but it is clear and easy to see/read in bright daylight. The display being what it is, allows it to always be on without killing the battery and it helps Coros to keep the price down. If you are looking for a smart GPS sports watch that is reasonably priced and has a lot of health and exercise features, then definitely consider the Pace 3.

I’ve had a few smart watches over the years, each having their different styles and tracking differences. This Coros Pace 3 on the other hand, just seems to have practically everything all those watches had, but in one. It is really light, the default band is flexible and allows for air flow and functions are pretty simple to manage. It has touch screen and the multifunction buttons that you can use to scroll through the menu as well so you can see the whole screen. It has vibration and tone feedback, but does not have any speaker or microphone options like some. However, you can connect Bluetooth headphones directly to it and upload some MP3 files so you can have some audio on the go. The tracking on this thing is pretty amazing. I thought maybe it was because I had my phone, as it does mention enhanced tracking when connected, but even without it the data looked pretty much the same. So, if you just want to get up and run off without any phone distractions, you can still track all your data, see the results on the watch directly and once returned to your device or Wi-Fi, see it in the app or online through the COROS training hub. See an example of one quick session in the app attached. Another thing I find amazing about this watch is that I have had a couple GPS tracked sessions and been wearing it non-stop day and night for over a week and just went below 50% charge. It boasts a 17 day daily use charge and at this rate, it is looking that way. Of course, if you use it for GPS tracking every day, that will take it down quicker, but it says 38 hours of GPS tracking so even if you use it for 1 hour a day, you are still getting well over a week's use per charge. Sadly though, like most electronics these days, that probably won’t be the case after a couple years of use. The one thing I don’t like about it is the unique charging cable. They do sell a small keychain charging cable that you could keep with you in case you forget the original one. But, it’s not lie you can just borrow the one from your phone if you don’t have those. With this watch and app, you also can access the training hub through the COROS website. There you can see all of your training data, there are things you can set up that I have never heard of, but they have information to read on all of it. This also allows you to share your data with your team or a coach if they have an account set up. There is a fair bit of customization you can do with the watch as well. Upon initial setup it asks what events you want available on the menu. So, like you know you aren’t going to use it for skiing anytime soon, no need for that to be an option on the scroll through your list. However, it is still available through the menu or app later. There are many watch faces to pick from but if you don’t like any of them, customize your own through the app, pick your clock style and position, pick a background or send your own image of choice. The options are endless at that point. The screen is technically always on as well, but really really faint. When the backlight kicks in is when you can really read it, but even then, it isn’t super bright. I found it easier to make sure to have a high contrast looking watch face. I am still able to read it during bright and sunny days with my hand shadowing it a bit. Overall this watch is great for anyone that is active or wants to get into being active and wants to help track their progress. It can just be your regular step tracking, calorie counting, time telling every day watch too, while you only need to charge every 2 weeks or so at that rate. You can read messages and notifications that are enabled from your phone, but can’t respond directly like some. But, this one is not unique to just specific branded phones like those are.

I have a large collection of wristwatches (both of the smart and dumb variety), but I have not owned a true smart sports watch. With that being said, I was very eager to put the COROS Pace Sport Watch through its paces. Please read below for more detail, but to summarize I highly recommend this sports watch!. It does everything one would expect and more. If you are an athlete or someone who needs an active lifestyle smart watch then look no further. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was how lightweight it was. Not in a flimsy cheap way, but in an advanced, elegant way. The watch band is rubberized and should fit most wrist sizes easily. The watch band is standard and can be easily swapped out if desired. This watch is compatible with Apple or Android devices. The first setup step is to download the COROS App and pair the watch to the phone. Creating an account is required to use the App. Next the watch generated a QR code that I was able to scan to complete the process. A firmware update then initiated that took about 10 minutes. I allowed the App to send notifications of all types to the watch. I was able to receive notifications from my phone of not only messages and phone calls, but of a few other App’s that I use as well. It is required to specifically give each App notification permission. It is not possible to use the watch to initiate or respond to messages. It is a read only function. Numerous activity types are selectable that cover the entire gamut of possible workouts. I selected running and decided to go out for a run. I checked my progress and was very pleased with the results. All of the relevant body metrics (steps, calories burned, sleep, heart rate, Stress levels, and oxygen levels) were monitored. I found the Coros readout to be accurate and consistent with my known routes. Keep in mind that reading body oxygen requires that the watch be tight to the wrist. The watch can somewhat be used independently of the phone. Notifications from the phone will not be received of course, but it will sync the recorded data when next paired. I am a run club member and try to run intensely several times a week. I am looking forward to using this watch for when I am running or working out. I used my other smart watches with reservations when working out because I was worried about damaging them. I would not describe this watch as rugged, but I feel that it is better suited to outdoor activities than anything else I have used. The watch is water resistant and has a 5 ATM rating. I would not use it for prolonged water activities, but it is nice to know that it can survive rain or being occasionally submerged. Using the watch is very straightforward using the App or the multi function control buttons on the right side of the watch. The watch menus and App are very intuitively laid out and I think most people will have no problem getting the hang of it fast. It is possible to customize the look and layout of the watch face to a degree. The GPS mode is cutting edge next generation. I was able to use it to accurately track my location and even create a route for myself with turn by turn directions. I was very impressed with the GPS capabilities and functionality. COROS really hit it out of the park in this area. One thing I don’t like is that it uses a proprietary charging port for charging the watch. I wish they had gone with the ubiquitous USB standard. So if you decide to travel with this watch make sure it is fully charged before you leave, or that you bring the cable with you and don’t ever lose it. One cable is included in the box. Battery life is rated at an impressive 38 hours in GPS mode and 15 days for regular use. I have been using it for a few days of moderate use and the battery level has barely budged, so I believe the battery life estimate to be accurate.

I used the Coros Pace 3 for over a week and can say it is a solid Watch. Here is my breakdown: Coros App (for your phone): Thorough, user friendly, and data-driven. If this is your first GPS/sport watch, you may be overwhelmed. If you're a seasoned watch wearer, you may be pleased. You get 4 tabs (progress, activities, explore, and profile). You can add workouts to the calendar by downloading them from the Coros website, importing from friends, or creating your own. You can customize the watch face with tons of included free options. The runs are easily tracked in the explore portion. You can preplan a route to run and send it to your watch. The activities portion shows you what you've done for the week. The watch: I like the button and scroll wheel on the side. It's smart engineering and especially useful when I swim because the touch screen is basically useless in water, so the scroll wheel makes that a non-issue when I need to male selections on the watch (like start/stop). Bonus: If you're a left handed person and/or wear your watches on the right hand, you can set that up with this watch through the settings! The watch band is great. One week using it and it's super light and unobtrusive. My skin has not had any negative reactions and the band is very breathable. The music option is nice. Though you will need to plug it into the PC and manually place MP3s into the watch folder (4gb total space). Connecting to wifi and to headphones was a breeze though. The battery on this watch is amazing. 1 week of light use and I did not charge at all. I was sitting over 70%. Even with activities, I didn't rally have to charge it. I am very impressed. When I did plug the watch in, my one single complaint is the charging plug. My experience was finicky and I had to sort of bend the cable a bit and put a little pressure on one side of the charging cable so it would register a charge. I don't know if this is a fluke, but I may have to reach out to Coros if it happens again. That said, I do recommend this watch whether you're an athlete or an active person who wants to track fitness.

Very nice sport watch. It comes inside a nice box, they include one band (already installed on the watch) and a charging cable (its not wireless, it actually connects to the watch via pogo pins). Setup was easy, after fully charging it, I installed the Coros app on my phone and then created my account then added the watch (detects it via bluetooth). After some easy setup questions (like right or left wrist, orientation etc) the watch was setup and paired with the app. I must say the app is super comprehensive and does not require any subscriptions to work, unlike other watches... The gran highlight of this watch is the GPS accuracy. Its super accurate, even on the default setting. Once you start your workout it will also save a map of your route. Like if you go outside to run, jog, or ride a bike you can see afterwards your route on a detailed map. The login of parameters is super accurate, like elevation, time, distance, calories, heart rate etc. This is a superb watch for any type of workouts/sports. It can also display notification from your phone on it so you don't miss any, however they are basic and at least on mine, I could not reply to them from the watch. This is a primarily sports watch with the added benefit that it can also display notifications from apps on it so you don't miss any. Battery life is superb too. The screen gets bright enough but its not super quality if you compare it to smartwatches out there that use Oled screens ie. I'll repeat it again, this is a sportswatch first, not a smartwatch. Oh, its also super lightweight, I love that and the band has tons of holes for good ventilation and adjustment. I'm super happy with it and I'm using it daily for my workouts and you should too if you want to save some bucks and have a great sport watch with you!! Coros Pace 3 is one of the affordable Smart watches in the market that is best running as well without burning a hole in your pocket. Coros is a solid slate packed with plethora of features including some of them that the competitor brands lacks. Before discussing about the Pros and Cons below are the new features compared to Coros Pace 2: Multiband/dual frequency GPS/GNSS Blood Oxygen (SpO2) sensor Optical Heart rate sensor Touchscreen Wifi MP3 music playback (4 GB storage) Increased battery life HRV tracking Setup - Setup was quite simple. I was able to turn on the watch, charge it till it reached 100%(Charging was pretty fast - charging at 1% per minute), install the Coros app and connect to the Watch to the phone by scanning the QR code displayed on the watch. The watch has two buttons - Digital crown (For Enter or Confirmation), Lower right button (to go back) as well the touchscreen can be used. Digital crown can also be used as a scroller to navigate through the menu. Pros: 1. Price - Coros Pace 3 is yet the most affordable smart watch in the market. Even after 6 years the price difference between the 1st version and the latest edition is just 30$ which is not more when one considers the improved accuracy, battery life and features like Wifi, MP3 playback, Blood oxygen sensor to name a few. Coros despite being packed with so much features costs anywhere between 100 to 200$ less that competitor brands which lacks them. 2. Multiband Dual Frequency GPS - For Outstanding run tracking accuracy especially in areas where the GPS reception will be low in places like Mountains or in Cities with High rise buildings. Though I haven't tried this option yet but i am pretty sure Coros would have done an excellent job in nailing it. I am planning to try this option when i go for treking in mountains. 3. Excellent Battery Life - Standard GPS mode - 38 hours All Systems (Connects to available satellites for enhance tracking accuracy) - 25 hours Dual-frequency GPS (Connects to available satellites in Dual frequency for Best accuracy) - 15 hours Smart Watch (without GPS) - 24 days Smart Watch (without GPS but with Sleep tracking) - 18 days 4. Optical Heart Rate sensor - Unlike other brands that calculate the Heart rate every second, Coros calculates Daily HR every 10 minutes. There is also option to calculate it in Realtime which might lower the battery life. But during Activity the HR will be calculated in real time and it can be turned on or off. 5. Sleep tracking - Sleep tracking is almost accurate. It is able to sense sitting vs lying down which is great. Also we can view the 7 day trend. 6. Vast array of fitness metrics on the widget like Steps, Sleep, Calories burnt, Training status, Intensity trend, Recovery, BPM, Weather, Barometeric pressure, Notifications which can also be customized from the app. We can view the 7 day trend for most of these metrics. Also the Steps, Active Calories and Exercise Time can be viewed at Week, Month and Year level on the app. 7. Charging - Charging is really fast. It just takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the watch. 8. Customize Notifications - It is possible to customize what notifications to be displayed like (Calls, Text message, Email, Whatsapp, Teams, X, Facebook, Facebook messenger, Instagram, Twitter or more. Also we can decide if the Notifications can be displayed during activity or not. 9. Customize Activity - It is possible to customize from the app what Activity needs to be displayed under the Activity menu on the Watch. This helps to list only the activities that we might need instead of scrolling through a bunch of activities that we don't even perform. Cons: 1. MIP display - Less attractive/brilliant - The watch display is not bright or very attractive mainly because Coros did not want to compromise on the Battery life. This is not a big deal atleast for people like me who can live with it without compromising on the battery life. 2. Colors - Its possible to change the watch face colors. Colors are not that vibrant as seen on the actual picture. 3. There is no option to Sync to Google Fit app. There are 3rd party apps like Health Sync that can be used to sync the data to Google Fit though. It would have been nice if Coros had provided the option to sync with Google Fit or consider doing it in the future. 4. Explore option in the app - We can search for the location or address and send it to the Watch for navigation. But when we search for certain stores like Meijer or Aldi it brings in some default locations and i was surprised to see that instead of displaying the nearby location it was picking up a location which was 6 miles away from where i live and even one location in Australia. If we know the address or certain park names we can search for it and the location was accurate. Coros should probably consider displaying the nearby locations first instead of providing some randome location.

I’ve been using fitness trackers and smartwatches for many years. Starting out with the cheaper step counters, to more recently fancy smart watches with an overwhelming number of options. Ideally, I just want a fitness tracker that can display notifications or tell me when someone is calling, but mostly focus on collecting fitness data to help track and manage my health. Que up the Coros Pace 3 with its fitness focus and simple design. Pros - Lightweight and slim design. - Easy to navigate. - Available and organized health data. Cons - App is mainly Runner focused. - Limited 3rd party apps compatibility. Setup was super easy. Install the Coros app, turn the watch on, then scan the QR code and it pairs while asking some basic health questions like weight, height, and orientation of the watch. The overall setup process felt much smoother than most wearables, no issues connecting or pairing the device and the App navigation was simple. Navigation of the device is intuitive, mainly click in the dial, turn the dial to select the option and back out with bottom button. The watch face is a touch screen, but I found that when my fingers were covered in sweat or dirty, my ability to accurately navigate the touch screen options became difficult. Using the dial and buttons was quicker and easier, plus kept the watch face free of smudges. Similarly, app navigation is very simple, the main page has all the health metrics at the top. I’ve only had the Coros Pace 3 for 5 days, after the initial charge it has lasted the entire time with 60% remaining, which lines up with the 15-day battery for daily use. I’ve set the watch to daily use, as the weather has been a bit too cold and rainy for me to run outside just yet, so I’ve only used it for indoor running, but the battery seems to be much better than smartwatches I’ve had with an average of 5 days of use. Of course, the Pace 3 counts your steps, but that isn’t even close to the most insightful measurements. The Active Calories count, this is like other apps measure of workout mins or intensity, but Coros measurement makes more sense scientifically as it’s a measure of your calories burned actively, not just passively. It helps understand what activities help you burn the most calories in the most efficient way, which is a measure I have been working with for a few years now using other trackers but in a less direct way. Other than active calories and steps, the important metrics for me are Recovery, Heart Rate, Resting HR, Sleep, Overnight HRV. Additionally, from the app you can see Training Calendar, Training Load, Training Status, Running Fitness, Stress, Wellness Check and Body Mass. Depending on your use and focus, these will be important for your use. Coros has done one better for those who are metrics focused with the Evo Labs, which is outside of the app, accessed through a web browser. This might seem like an extra step initially, but one that was done with good thought and design in mind. The web page stays updated with the data from the watch and allows for additional health and training metrics to be calculated based on the data collected. If this was in an App, you’d be scrolling for days to see all the charts. Additionally, if you’re a serious athlete who has a coach or team who you share performance data with Evo Labs allows you to share your data dashboard for easy review of your training results. My only real issue with the Coros Pace 3 is the app integration, which ends up being a big issue for my specific use. The lack of specific 3rd party app integrations like Google Fit or Samsung Health, means I must use a roundabout way to get my data to the app I need for reporting health benefits through my employer. Yes, I subscribe to big brother watching, but only when it pays me well. Which means for the time being, I’ll be walking around with two fitness trackers on to ensure I get credit for my employer benefits. The Coros Pace 3 GPS Sport would be ideal for someone who is primarily a runner or outdoors enthusiast who enjoys tracking and managing their training routine with exquisite detail! Though, for the average Joe, this fitness tracker might be a bit overwhelming in detail, its simple design and easy to navigate app offer a solid alternative option in the overcrowded land that is wearables. Overall, I’m excited to have a new fitness focused tracker and looking forward to an app update to fix my concern around integration.

This new Coros Pace 3 is so far one of the best sport watch I’ve ever owned, this light weight watch is what I needed to keep track of my daily walks, jogging and biking; the smart features for your daily exercises are very accurate, with the help of the Coros app, you can set training calendars, create a running/ walking route with a satellite view maps, check your resting heart rate and so much more, the Coros app is very detailed to help you keep track of all your daily activities and exercises, I’m very impressed by the Coros app along with the Coros sport watch. You can change the face of the watch with the Coros app to different colors and designs and you can also change the bands, but one of the most impressive features for me on this watch is the battery life, one single charge last at least 38 hours or 15 days on a daily use, when I first use it, after charging it, I kept the watch on for 3 days without the need of charging it and it was still at 50% adding my daily walking and biking. The watch is very light weight and comfortable to wear it all day, other features included are breadcrumb navigation for the running route planner on the app, next generation gps that keeps data accurate, optical sensors, always on display, water resistant up to 164 feet and works with other health apps on your phone like Apple Health. So far the Coros watch and the app are great for my daily work out routines. One of the cons is the charger cable that plugs in the back it’s short and awkward, but at least you need to use it less often as the other brands.

This watch really is designed for people who spend a lot of time running or cycling, which is where it really sets itself apart from other watches. I've had quite a few smart watches in the past, and this one has some features I love, and some features that I miss. A great example is the brightness of the watch, or lack of brightness, when you flip your wrist over to look at the screen. The watch has sort of a matte finish to the display, and I struggle to read the screen sometimes because of the brightness of the watch. I know it's designed this way to conserve battery life, which it does a great job of, but I still find myself squinting in low lighting. The heart rate monitor is fantastic! I've been using this watch during my training with another heart rate monitor, and the results are virtually identical. The battery life is the best I've seen on any watch. I've been wearing this watch for a week straight, taking it off to sleep, and I still have well over half battery remaining. My other watches require me to charge them every night, which I've always found to be a huge hassle. The interface is pretty minimal, and can be a little jerky at times compared to other watches I've used, but it gets the job done. The overall watch is incredibly lightweight, but I'm not a big fan of the band. I find it difficult to get off and on, but since it doesn't need to be charged that often, it's not a big deal. One of the features I love most is the built in Metronome. I've never seen this on another watch, and it activates the haptics with each beat, which is very useful. I play several instruments, and being able to use a metronome on my watch, and actually feel the beat, is a really a neat experience. This watch also has all the other features you would like to see, like Find my phone, compass, dozens of different watch faces, sleep tracking, as well as tons of advanced workout features like GPS, fitness test, recovery time, etc. Overall, pretty great watch, but I'm not sure I'm ready to replace my existing watch with this one. I will definitely use this for my training, but the brightness and clarity of the screen are really hard for me to adjust to. I also had to flip my watch upside down and reverse the layout in the settings, because I don't like the position of the dial. I found the dial kept hitting my wrist when I was bending my hand, especially when playing guitar.

One week in… Long time Garmin wearer - first time caller. Seriously though, this is the first activity/smartwatch outside Garmin that I have used. Much of my thoughts here will be relating back to my Garmin experiences. There is much to rave about with the COROS Pace 3. Price and Comps: At a $230 price point, this is an extremely impressive watch. You get much more for your money than you do in a Garmin or Suunto, for sure. The closest match in features and price in the Garmin lineup is the Forerunner 55 ($199), though the FR 255 is pretty close at $349 - usually on sale for $299 or less. The COROS Pace 3 betters the 55 in the following ways, The Pace 3 has: -A bigger screen, 30mm vs 26mm -A touch screen vs none on the 55 -Corning glass -2 year warranty vs 1 year on the 55 -Dual-Frequency GPS -Amazing battery life All that and more makes the $30 price difference seem like nothing. Where the Pace 3 beats the FR55, the FR255 evens it out, but at a $20-120 premium. My week with the COROS 3: I really like the watch. It paired up easily, it is lightweight, touchscreen, very accurate GPS, great app, and lots of metrics for analytical types like me. I was a bit skeptical when I went to download the COROS app from the Google Play Store and saw the 3.1 rating (3.9 on Apple's AppStore), but everything went well. I signed up for an account and paired the watch quickly and without trouble. The first thing I noticed when I put the watch on was how light it was. I used to run with heavier watches like the Fenix series but I found a good home with the Pace 3. It is so lightweight that I don’t notice it much. I forget I have it on. I really appreciate the touchscreen on the Pace 3. It adds another option to the scrolling wheel, which I have a love/hate relationship with. If you are familiar with Garmin watches, they typically have 5 buttons. The COROS Pace 3 has one button and one button/wheel combo. Navigating the menu is pretty easy considering there are only three physical mechanisms to operate the watch. It is fairly intuitive, the top button/wheel is your “accept” or “enter” button, the wheel scrolls the screen (touchscreen is an alternative), and the bottom button is your “exit” or “return” button. Where this took some getting used to is during an activity. When I first paused a run I hit the button, no problem. Where I had an issue is when I went to resume the run and accidentally scrolled to “Finish” the run. The safety feature on the Pace 3 saved me though. Finishing an activity requires a long press on the button. Once I realized how sensitive the scroll wheel can be I started consciously pressing directly down on the scroll wheel button to resume activities. The GPS on the COROS is very accurate. I ran a few times with a G FR965 (which is extremely accurate and $599) and the Pace 3 and found both watches to be nearly in lockstep. The COROS Pace 3 uses dual-frequency GPS technology which helps the watch grab GPS signals when you may not have a clean line of sight. This is usually only found in more expensive watches, like the FR265 and 965. Aside from the lightweight design and deadly accurate GPS, the next thing I noticed is how amazing the battery life is. As I mentioned earlier (thank you for reading this far by the way!), I have been using the watch for a week. In that time I have tracked three runs totalling 18.6 miles and about three hours, sleep has been tracked for seven nights, and notifications are on for emails, texts, and a few other select apps. The watch sits at 47%. 47%, are you kidding me? That is outstanding for the usage! I am currently training for my first 50 miler, last week was a step-down week, and I have zero doubts that this watch will last the entire 10ish (hopefully) hours I will be running in about 3-½ weeks. There are many features the watch has that I haven’t even begun to get into but here is the main point of all of my rambling on: This is likely the most feature-packed, longest-lasting activity watches available for $229 or less. I absolutely would recommend this watch for anyone who: -Is an ultra runner on a budget -Is a beginning runner, hiker, biker, or most any other sport - the watch tracks so many different things -Is new to activity watches - making the switch from “smart” watches -Is looking for the best combination of features and value There just does not look like a better option in this price range. COROS made a great watch that many more people can afford than before.

The Coros PACE 3 truly shines in the endurance department. With its extended battery life, you won’t find yourself constantly tethered to a charger during your outdoor adventures. Whether you’re running a marathon or exploring rugged trails, the PACE 3 keeps pace with you. I had my watch on for a full a week and I was still at 50%, amazing. The activities tracker is equally impressive. From running and cycling, running, hiking, etc this watch covers a wide range of activities. It accurately records your steps, distance, heart rate, and more. Plus, the built-in GPS ensures precise tracking even in remote locations. My only gripe with this product is really the glare. Yes, the screen is quite dim, but I suppose to achieve the advertised 24 days smartwatch mode it would have to conserve power. The screen however could have had better coating for less glare. The screen tends to reflect sunlight, even indoor light as in the picture I sent, making it challenging to read data during bright days while you're out and about. If you’re an avid outdoor enthusiast, this could be a drag. Coros PACE 3 GPS Sport Watch strikes a balance between impressive features and a few drawbacks. If you prioritize battery life and versatile activity tracking, it’s worth considering. If you are a little older like me and have a few vision issues, the dim screen and glare could be a little bit of a challenge to get used to.

This watch is an excellent choice for fitness and exercise enthusiasts who want to enjoy the convenience and precision of tracking their activities and goals on a smart watch without the bloat and excesses in price, features, and distractions associated with smart watches of the “typical” sort from bigger makers like Apple etc. From the moment I pulled this watch out of the box and started to handle it, I was in love. The included standard watch band feels amazing and is so breathable. I could tell immediately that I was going to have no need to get a different band for my sweaty wrists as this is exactly what I look for in a watch band. Furthermore, something I like about this band is that there is no exposed metal to snag or scratch surfaces, like a laptop deck, when you have this watch on. The watch itself has a handsome and not overly obnoxious sporty appeal. The watch is incredibly easy to set up. I downloaded the COROS app and paired the watch to the phone following all the instructions. The watch came with about 75% battery life, so I had no concern about charging it before getting started. As I have gotten more familiar with the watch and its features, I have no problem recommending it to even less tech savvy potential owners like my dad who just doesn’t want to fool around with too many bells and whistles. To bridge this gap, every major feature is accessible via the crown dial and side button, or by utilizing the touch screen of the device! This watch was very thoughtfully made. While the screen of the Pace 3 is not the prettiest, the is the point: what it sacrifices in eye popping colors and beauty, your trade off is that you gain excellent battery life and have a device that is not going to scorch your retinas every time you bring it up to your eyes to check your workout progress. The battery is rated for 15 days of daily use and I am seeing every indication in my experiences that this is true! One of the features I really like on the watch is that it has an easy to use lock out feature that you can toggle on and off. This means if you are doing a really intense workout, you are not going to have to worry about accidentally pausing your workout or starting a lap when you don’t want to. I used this throughout a few active days of my week. I cycled, ran, went for walks, and went about my everyday activities. This watch tracked all my metrics with astounding accuracy, including the built in GPS that tracked my outdoor walks and bike rides. I am thrilled with this watch I would even feel comfortable leaving my smartphone at home while I go on a “unplugged” bike ride or run. Speaking of smartphones, while this watch focuses on exercise and fitness, it does not totally toss out smart convenience features. You do have the option to have call alerts, text read outs, and other device alerts sent to the watch. I found this annoying more than anything since you can’t act upon the notifications like you can with an Apple Watch, so your decision whether to use this notification feature may vary. Altogether, I can heartily recommend this watch to anyone who finds the above-described features of interest as an exercise watch. Between the battery life, convenience of use, and rugged yet elegant build quality, this watch is here to suit a wide variety of users with great alacrity!

I have been using this watch for the past week now, and I was skeptical at first since I felt that my current smart watch was already doing a lot of tracking and pace. This watch offers so many other tools for my active lifestyle. I am not a competitive athlete anymore not am I as fit as I was in the military. Nowadays, I am just active enough to keep my shape and muscles at the status quo. I do run every day for about 1.5 miles, but do play tennis and basketball at the gym, and biking/swimming with the kids. After switching to this Coros Pace 3, I was just blown away at how much more this enhances all of the above mentioned activities. I really like that there are several different Workout Library's for you to choose from. For example, I do both indoor running on a tread and outdoor running, The Pace 3 is able to predict my pace and is more accurate on the distance than what the treadmill is telling me. You can also set the pace on it prior to the run, or can change it. Just be careful because it is easy to get distracted when you are trying to change it while in stride. It keeps accurate counts of my weight lifting reps along with the heart rate count. You can also change the targeted muscle areas for this. At times I was focusing on arms, then to my Core, and then back. The app is so essential for me to see my progress and how these activities are impacting my body. This tracks so much of my activities, and along with the app, it is very accurate with all the data is collecting. It has been tacking all of my weight reps, my heart rates, my routes, my average stress, my sleep patterns (and my sleep heart rate), and this very cool Wellness Check feature. I work in healthcare so tracking my wellness is very important for me in preventing burnout. I really enjoyed the route feature as you can plan your route if you are always going on a set route. It's been 5 days of constant use and starting at 100% battery life, it is currently at 78% without having charged it since. That is incredible battery life, even with all the tasks it is doing for me. There are two buttons on it with the Home Button/Action dial button at the top, and the Back at the bottom. Holding the Action button for three seconds will unlock it if you were not engaging with the watch. I felt that the screen has been very responsive. My only main issue is the display brightness, where it looks rather dark. Even by turning the dial to increase the brightness, it still looked dim to me. Another issue is the watch band that it is a little uncomfortable as the silicone is perforated and digs into my skin. Thirdly, the charging cable is unique and plugs into the bottom of the watch. I wished it was more of a magnetic disc like the other main Smart Watch brands. Using it as an smart watch secondarily has been an ok experience. It is able to notify you of messages and emails, and other apps that are connected. There is no way for you to respond to a text message which I wasn't too thrilled about. If you are an active person, this is the perfect training sport watch. With a long lasting battery and with all of these other tracking features, you can really set up and keep consistent active lifestyle.
