Excellent keyboard for gaming and work
I bought the K70 after a couple years with the Steelseries Apex Pro TKL, which failed 3 times during the time I owned it. After the 3rd failure (keys just stopped typing/lighting) I didn't bother getting it serviced or replaced again. I just tossed it in the trash and bought the K70. It has optical/mechanical switches that feel better when typing compared to the Apex Pro. Typical solid Corsair build quality. Detachable cable is a nice touch. I'm very pleased so far and recommend it highly over the Apex Pro. The K70 is $30 less expensive that the Apex Pro, too!

Very responsive, compact, gaming keyboard
The CORSAIR - K70 RGB TKL Champion Series is an optical-mechanical keyboard built around an aluminum frame and very solid mechanical raised keys with individual RGB LED lighting. The clicking sound is very tolerable for most people and quite enjoyable for others who “grew-up” using some of the clickiest keyboards ever made when they were all mechanical. I particularly like TenKeyLess keyboards like this one that do not have the numeric pad, so it’s positioned more centrally since it’s narrower by a few inches. Another nice feature is the RGB lighting that can be customized through the Corsair App or turned off all together with the Competition switch that also disables all custom macros to level the playing field in multi-player competition games. I would say this keyboard still gives you a bit of an unfair advantage over other players with regular keyboards, because it is so fast and responsive with special technology that makes it up to 8x times faster processing of your keystrokes. The braided USB-C cable is 6 ft long and high quality, non-tangling, which makes it travel friendly as well. Additionally there is a volume button roller and a mute button right next to it, as well as multimedia buttons to control playback. The only aspect of this keyboard I wish it a bit different is its height - it is aprox. 1 ¼ “ to the top of the keys which could make it somewhat uncomfortable for some people if used for long periods of time.
