These are the best headsets ever!!! And they sync with iCue and other software easily. The Mic is adjustable so is the headband. They are super comfortable easy to use the mic is clear. and the battery last a long time and the bluetooth range is great, I go downstairs and they are still connected and super clear!!!

This latest model from Corsair, the Virtuoso Max, represents a significant upgrade over the previous Virtuoso XT flagship headphones. The sound quality is noticeably improved, offering deeper bass and a more immersive audio experience. The construction has been enhanced with more durable materials, including updated padding. However, some users may find the new padding slightly less comfortable. One standout feature is the volume dial, seamlessly integrated into the outer rim of the headphones, which allows for smooth and effortless volume adjustments. Overall, the Virtuoso Max is a premium headset built to deliver exceptional performance and longevity.

Right off the bat mic was trash and i know 'its a gaming headset' so the mic isn't supposed to be amazing, however it is MILES worse than the original virtuosos how they fumbled that no idea. Sound took a lot of tuning in Dolby atoms to get it to sound better than my og virtuosos. Battery life is better, same for overall comfort. However right after a year of owning these the headband has decided to have a blowout like acan of biscuits. The fabric is peeling away from the "leather" top part and the foam is just trying to make a run for it. Now if you're thinking ehh thats not to bad the software to change stuff on this headset whichyis icue is straight dog doo doo. It has easily got to be the biggest pile of garbage called "code"

Let me start by saying—I tried to stray. I really did. My original pair of Corsair Virtuoso Max headphones had been with me for several solid months before the headband cracked. No worries, I thought. Time for something new. That decision lasted all of 48 hours. I replaced them with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, and I instantly regretted it. Setup was a nightmare. Despite being “wireless,” I was wrangling 3.5mm audio cables and trying to decipher why the mic refused to work. Two full days of tinkering later, and I still couldn’t get it functional. Back to Best Buy’s site I went, ordering the Virtuoso Max again—this time with expedited shipping. And as soon as I unboxed them, it felt like coming home. Here’s why these are the gold standard for me: • Truly Wireless & Plug-and-Play: I plugged in the USB dongle, switched the audio device in Discord, and I was fully connected in under 2 minutes. Zero hassle. • Incredible Range: I can roam around the house and still stay connected without a single drop in quality. • Excellent Sound & Mic Quality: Whether I’m gaming, on calls, or listening to music, the audio is crisp and the mic picks me up clearly—no robotic distortion or annoying crackles. • Active Noise Cancelling: The ANC does a great job blocking out background noise without feeling overly isolated. Great for focusing during intense gaming sessions or Zoom calls. • Media Controls That Actually Work: I can adjust volume, skip tracks, and even connect to my Nintendo Switch while staying connected to my PC—dual audio support is a game changer. • Clean, Intuitive Software: No bloat, no confusing menus—just simple control over my headset settings. Bottom line: I tried to cheat on Corsair and got burned. Lesson learned. The Virtuoso Max are staying with me for the long haul.

I’ll be honest—I was a bit scared to buy these headphones because I was seriously considering the Audeze Maxwell. But as soon as I tried them and listened to the sound, I was genuinely impressed. They really shine in AAA games like Jedi Survivor, where the audio detail and sound positioning are excellent. The only real downside I noticed is the weight, since they’re among the heaviest on the market. That said, even though they feel heavy at first, after a few hours of gaming you barely notice them.

Had it for almost six months now. Out of the box, the sound is terrible: flat, dull, and hollow. However, the graphene drivers have a lot of potential, especially with dolby atmos. Definitely had to work heavily on those EQs for awhile, but eventually got it sounding great. The noise cancellation, passthrough mode, and dual connectivity are great. Mic also sounds pretty incredible. MAJOR DOWNSIDE: the comfort. The headset is far too heavy for the lack of plush on the headband. The top of my head starts to hurt around 30-60 min of use, and that pain does stick with me after long gaming sessions. A floating headband would have solved this, idk why corsair chose this instead. Today, I went to put on the headset and part of the headband cracked underneath the leather, which is super disappointing. Now there is an obvious bend, which probably affects the integrity and tightness. Hopefully it wont get worse overtime. TLDR - out-the-box sound needs major EQ tweaks, but has potential to sound incredible (especially if you like bass). noise-cancellation, passthrough, and dual connectivity 10/10, Comfort 2/10, and the headband snapped after 6 months of use.

These over arctic and Astros 100%. My only complaint about the headset is that you cannot get a leather pair like the Astros, but these fit my big head great. Astros twist the top band. If you are worried about that don’t be. Really was easy to connect to iPhone and iPad and ps5 etc at same time.

Excellent build quality. Super useful, the dual connection system that allows you to connect your PC and phone at the same time works wonderfully and is very practical.

I ll start with what i like about those headphones. 1. Sound quality is great 2. Battery life is great 3. Design and esthetics paired with some LEDs is top notch. 4. Mic quality is great as well 5. I like earcups and material thats not tearing as easy as other models. (i have used Corsair Virtuoso SE and prefer those earcups over MAXs but issue is that SE model cups tend to tear and i had to replace them in about 3 years of use. Cost was around $20) 6. Easy mic ON/OFF. Now id like to share my issues with these headphones. Quality. They do look good and feel premium but not sure why Corsair would choose to go with plastic over the head band. This set lasted me only over 1 year and has cracked in several places just in casual use. I can still use them but they don't hold the tension and if i lean they will come off, so i have to keep my head leveled. I bought MAXs after using Virtuoso SE for over 3 years because the rubbery band material started to peel of and stuck in my hair. Bought Virtuoso MAX because i saw that they use fabric instead of rubbery cloth but i am disappointed with plastic use in over-the-head band. After spending over $500 on 2 sets of headphones I will have to look at some other brands.

[Employee of bestbuy] Love it! It just needs better noise cancellation and it also hurts the top of my head after a while of wearing it sometimes which isn’t the greatest, but overall this headset has superior sound and a nice mic. The mic does take some getting used to over the Corsair Virtuoso XT however.

Great headset! It feels durable and well made, while still being very comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions. The sound quality is clear and immersive, and the headset fits securely without feeling too tight or heavy. Overall, it’s a great combination of comfort, quality, and performance. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable gaming headset.

I purchased the Virtuoso Max after having used the older Virtuoso XT for years, only buying a new one due to the battery life on the XT slowly getting worse. This headset feels like a significant downgrade from the older and less expensive XT. My old headset lasted years of fairly rough treatment, it being almost completely metal. The MAX has a plastic headrest instead of metal, which cracked within 7 months of use, even being much more careful with it than previous, from simply taking it off my head to put on my headset stand. The leatherette and cloth trim on the headrest fell apart within 5 months of 3-4 days of use per week, exposing the foam and the plastic underneath. It is definitely lighter weight than the XT, but at a very high cost of quality and longevity. The sound is most certainly premium, but I have had numerous connectivity issues that I did not have with the XT, such as the headset disconnecting from the dongle randomly, or not connecting at all. It has some nice new features, but all in all is an absolutely substantial downgrade from the previous models in both cost and quality. I have used Corsair products for everything from ram to cooling systems, to peripherals, and this is the first time I've been wholeheartedly disappointed in my purchase. This is not a knock on Corsair, as their other products are definitely premium, but this headset isn't even worth half the price they're charging for it.

In summary I regret every dollar spent on these headphones, thought was buying quality because of their construction but what I got is a heavy uncomfortable headset that bothers in you head after the very first or second hour using them. Thats the number one, second after only three months used I was putting them on my head and they just cracked from inside in the head base. Corsair Support replace them, I had to pay $150 to be able to get them within days and was reimbursed afterwards I sent broken one back. And the third and worst, and why I recommend not buying… if you use the Bluetooth for connecting to your phone and at the game at the same time… they have a firmware issue with usb port where the headphones just keep disconnecting sporadically from the pc… this is the most anoying issue when you cannot communicate with your crew on a game because the headphones just disconnected. I paid $335 for these four months ago, now awesomely they are at just $200. Most of the reviews for these headphones seem great but they are not… these issues I mentioned are major. The only good is sound quality and the dolby free feature but with those issues fades out the great sound experience. What good are a great sound if you cannot game comfortably with them. Well thats my sincere review, hope it helps someone.

Purchased in March 2026 the Corsair-Virtuoso Max Wireless Gaming Headset. The Good: The dual Bluetooth and Wireless Wi-Fi is great as I can receive phone calls on my headset and When playing game my Autio is separate from my microphone. That is good. The Bad It is a VERY heavy headset and the bottom of the band has these bumps that focus the weight onto small areas and becomes very uncomfortable. Last but not least in September 2026 just 6 months after purchase the headband cover is coming untucked and I have started getting audio that of the sound of gargling. All in All, get something better and more comfortable.

The headset audio quality is very good. The iCue settings for noise cancellation, echo cancellation, and the mic quality are good. However, the actual headset physical quality is ok. The headband had cracked down the middle on my pair. And the felt covering began coming off.
