Customer Ratings & Reviews

“I was looking for an affordable mini split to cool and heat my bedroom, and this Costway unit has been a great choice. The installation took some time but was pretty straightforward with some basic DIY skills — just make sure to follow the instructions carefully. Once installed, it worked perfectly right away. It cools the room down really fast and keeps it comfortable even on really hot days. The heat pump feature is a bonus for chilly nights, so I love having both options in one unit. It runs very quietly, and the remote control makes it super easy to adjust settings from bed. Plus, the modern white design looks nice and clean on the wall. For the price, you can’t beat it — it does exactly what it promises without breaking the bank. I definitely recommend it if you want reliable cooling and heating without spending a fortune!”

Review: Costway 12,000 BTU Mini Split AC with Heat Pump I’ve been using the Costway 12,000 BTU mini split system for a while now, and overall it’s a solid unit for the price. It offers both cooling and heating, which makes it a versatile year-round option. Performance: The cooling is quick and effective—within minutes, it noticeably drops the room temperature. At 12,000 BTU, it’s well-suited for medium-sized rooms, offices, or small apartments (around 400–550 sq. ft.). The heating function also performs reliably, producing steady warmth without feeling weak or uneven. Efficiency & Noise: This unit runs quietly compared to window ACs, which is great if you’re using it in a bedroom or living space. The energy efficiency is decent—definitely a money-saver over time compared to portable units, though not quite as advanced as some premium models. Installation: Installation can be a bit challenging if you’re not handy. The instructions are clear, but like most mini splits, you’ll need the right tools and some patience. Professional installation is recommended if you don’t have prior experience. Once set up, though, the unit is very low-maintenance. Features: The remote control is intuitive, and the different modes (cool, heat, dehumidify, fan) give flexibility for different weather conditions. The timer and sleep functions are nice touches. Pros: Strong cooling and heating for the size Quiet operation Multiple modes (cool, heat, fan, dehumidify) Good value compared to name-brand alternatives Cons: Installation can be tricky without experience Slightly bulkier design than some higher-end models Efficiency is good, but not top-tier Verdict: If you’re looking for an affordable mini split with both AC and heat, the Costway 12,000 BTU unit delivers great performance for the cost. It won’t match the premium feel or ultra-high efficiency of bigger brands like Mitsubishi or Daikin, but it’s reliable, versatile, and budget-friendly.

I couldn't be happier with this Costway 12,000 BTU mini split! Finding a true 1-ton (12,000 BTU) air conditioner that runs entirely on standard 115V power instead of 220V is a massive win, and this unit completely delivers.

I am absolutely thrilled with this unit! I installed the Costway 12,000 BTU Mini Split in my daughter’s room, and it performs amazingly well. It has made such a difference in keeping her space comfortable, and I couldn't be happier with how it functions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and effective cooling (and heating!) solution!

Cools down room very quickly. Unit is efficient. Would recommend to others.

So far it works great and it’s been about a month!

Product had a refrigerant leak and bad flare fitting had to replace it. Didn't go through warranty because it was emergency need as temperatures were going below freezing nightly. Cost us $400 bring total cost of unit to almost $1000.
