I used to use a deep pot Which was hard to scoop out of and made a mess. Love the fryer, less mess, temp setting and big basket. Easy to use. I love it.

The way this deep fryer is designed is dangerous and scary as the coil sits exactly where the oil is to be placed

The fryer died at 71 days. :-( - Now out of return period. The timer broke and will not allow the cooker to heat up.
