bought a similar model 2 years ago, it didn't like soft water, this one, i have not made the same mistake. the swing function never has worked, the water level bulb got water inside of it and had to be fixed, it has a pump shut off with out any real warning,you have to listen and check to see if water is wetting pads every few hours, the pump shut also off makes a clicking noise, a very subtle clue, that no water is moving, other than that, it's does the job in this climate when run properly, got it on a memorial day sale for 1/2 price, new, can't gripe too much, interesting to speculate that it wholesales for around 100$. (600$? retail now?) if they can halve the price like that

Cools very good have to add ice when temperature goes over 100 degrees. I live in the desert so little humidity so by adding humidity cools good

It works good, strong fan and pretty quiet for how big it is. The water gauge is horrible. It gets to low to pump water when the guage only shows half full.

Best purchase I’ve made keeps the whole house nice and cool
