Very sturdy. Perfect for a 3-5 year old. My three year old great granddaughter went right to it and started drawing. She did not want to stop. She loves it. It was her birthday present from me.

My 8-year-old loves it! My only issue is that the wood has gotten stained from the watercolors, and the wood sticks holding up the storage drawers could be a tad bit longer. They are just long enough to fit, which also makes them easy to fall off, too. Putting it together was a little confusing, but not too bad.
