Crosby Stills Nash & Young - So Far - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

One of the most enduring musical partnerships of our time, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Crosby, Stills & Nash are revered for their peerless vocal harmonies, inspired songwriting and musical virtuosity. When the trio first sang together at a friend's Laurel Canyon house in 1968, their uncanny harmonic convergence was immediately apparent, and CSN took shape. Each member came to the new venture from other high-profile bands-Crosby from the Byrds, Stills from Buffalo Springfield, and Nash from the Hollies-and together, they formed that rarest of musical entities, a InchsupergroupInch that lived up to it's billing. CSN's 1969 self-titled debut album is one of the true masterpieces of the rock 'n' roll canon, and 1982's Daylight Again is a brilliant portrait of their musical evolution. Still touring and recording together, CSN is an American treasure. Album Tracks 1. Suite Judy Blue Eyes 2. Marrakesh Express 3. Guinnevere 4. You Don't Have to Cry 5. Pre-Road Downs 6. After famously playing their second show at Woodstock in August 1969, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young spent the rest of the year touring and writing songs for what would become CSNY's 1970 debut, Déjà Vu. Live at Fillmore East, 1969 is a newly discovered multi-track recording of the band's September 20, 1969, concert at the historic Fillmore East in New York City captures an early moment from that first tour. Including both Acoustic and Electric sets, as well as hit tracks such as InchSuite Judy Blue EyesInch, InchOur HouseInch, InchI've Loved Her So LongInch, etc. Stephen Stills and Neil Young compiled and mixed the original eight-track concert recordings at Sunset Studios to keep the production entirely analog. Young recently said Inch[We] have the tapes, and they sound so real. We mixed at Sunset Sound - the analog echo chamber, no digital echo. We're staying all analog throughout the production... Pure.
