Two years later, Martin and Nicholls were back in the studio with Iommi to record 1994'sCross Purposes. The band was completed with the addition of founding Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bobby Rondinelli of Rainbow. The album features an uncredited appearance by Eddie Van Halen on InchEvil Eye.Inch He spent a day in the studio jamming with the band, and they wrote the song and recorded it together.
