The overall ssd is a great addition for anyone looking for big storage in a small package.

I love this thing! It’s so much more compact than SanDisk’s options and it’s also cheaper and offers more space per dollar spent. It’s simple and easy and so straightforward to use. I did have one issue though I only have an iPad and so I filled up the drive and then found it wasn’t formatted correctly so I had to erase everything to reformat it and there isn’t anywhere near enough space on my iPad to be able to temporarily hold the data while reformatting it. So make sure when you buy yours that it is formatted correctly for your needs before you start to put all of your data on it. I still really recommend it and think it’s worthwhile but I do wish that I had opted for the larger size drive because for the extra hundred dollars it’s worth it.

Using this for backups as a Mac Time Machine drive. It is so much faster you don't know it is working. This will be a fast easy grab in case of wildfire where I live in the foothills. I liked this drive so much I use it to back up two notebooks with a two volume setup. Sad Micron decided to stop making this product.

Impressively small physical footprint for the massive amount of storage provided. Works great with my MacBook.

This 'tiny' item is EXACTLY what I needed ... I needed to back up my old standard external which I packed with 4TB of stuff ... both useful and useless :) ... and this little baby took it all and did it in no time. If I ever need more items of this type or any other storage type, I'm going BEST BUY and CRUCIAL.

Works as Described. Crucial has surprised me with these external SSD drives they live up to the standards quoted and function well, they have displaced the HD company (I've loved for over 40 years!) with there SSD technology, a little pricey but well made!

So light, so fast, and so portable! I’m used to portable HDs, but compared to them, these SDDs are weightless.

I bought this ssd on sale on black friday 2025 at a good price. It was running fast and smooth when I tried to backup my video library containing 1000+ files, but it stopped suddenly after copied approximately 90 files.
