I’ve been using the Crucial X10 Pro 4TB USB-C External SSD for a month now, and so far, it has been flawless! The speed is impressive, making file transfers a breeze, and I love how compact and portable it is. It’s well-built, stable, and feels premium, making it an excellent value for the money. One of the biggest highlights is how lightweight yet sturdy this SSD is—perfect for travel or on-the-go storage. Performance-wise, it has been consistently fast, which is great for handling large files efficiently. The only minor drawback is compatibility with older devices. Since my iMacs don’t have USB-C, I had to purchase an adapter. However, this isn’t a dealbreaker, and I plan on upgrading to a hub soon, so it won’t be an issue. Final Verdict: If you need a reliable, high-speed, and ultra-portable SSD, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

The Crucial X10 Pro SSD is just the all-around best external SSD I have come across. With a surprisingly small form factor with lightning fast transfer speeds. And on top of that, it’s at a great price at Best Buy. What’s not to like?!

So far this is a great external drive. Much, much faster than USB-3 drives if you can use USB-C. Have been backing up three laptops in record time. Its size is a really nice advantage. Easily fits in a shirt pocket (not that I’d do that on a regular basis). It takes up practical no room in a laptop case or backpack. Definitely recommend it.

I've been using Crucial external SSD's for about 5 years now, and they've never let me down! I use Samsung Pro drives as well, and they run about twice the cost in the current elevated market conditions. Crucial's X10 speeds are on par with my Samsung Pro drives at half the cost. Great price to performance here, with no hit to reliability! Highly recommended.

Excellent. About 20% of the size of the mechanical external hard drive it replaced. Blazingly fast; especially compared to the drive it replaced.
Super small with so much storage! Such a sleek look.

Worked as intended. Tested unit by connecting it to a Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 Port. Drive was formatted as NTFS. Attached are test results.

Definitely the fastest SSD I've seen so far. Although I suspect a unique form of caching data that gives it sustainable speed i've noticed some pitfalls in the product. Directory structures are slow to load, I suspect that is because of Windows 11 environment possibly, And the actual speed drops fast when proper cabling used And when the product Goes through good 6 to 8 months of heavy use. Despite this issues and Strange outages also I suspect under Windows 11, The driver covers quickly and not a single item of data has been lost. The average speed when purchase new was well to the 1800 megabits per second Read and 1200 megabits per second. This number at its worst gets to 500 megabits per Second, right but fluctuates to up to seven or eight 100 megabits per second, right? And read speed bounces between 6 Megabits per second to 1.2 gigabyte a second Speed, These numbers easily exceed many of their competitors, However, the cost makes this product an exceptional purchase and I've already purchased several as gifts Who helped me in my time of need since they are reliable. And that is the most important feature of any External storage device. Their size is self explanatory, USB-c Connector therefore gives it a great range of flexibility hooked up to raw camera file producing device I can take several HD Pictures without losing data or speed. And it's basically 3 / 4 Size of a credit card, Thus far, an excellent purchase

First time buying this brand. This drive has been working well so far (the lower non-Pro model of same brand did not work well). It's very fast. Small & lightweight. Time will tell if it remains sturdy for the long haul.

Fast, compact, and 4TB means plenty of room. Transfers are quick over USB-C and the build feels solid for something this small. Good portable storage option if you move large files around.

I have absolutely no issues with the device itself its more with best buy. I bought this on “sale” at my local best buy and thought i got a relatively decent price. However, i went on ebay and apparently best buy has their own ebay store with all of the same products but frequently not always they sell the same items but at much lower prices. In this case the item was selling for $70 less and best buy has their price match guarantee so i went to get the price adjusted but they refused to honor it because it is apparently a separate entity. How that excludes it from the price match i can’t begin to guess but i felt so misled and deceived by best buy that i just said forget and i returned the item. The item itself is great and is more than capable it meets and sometimes even exceeds the transfer speeds advertised and it has more than enough space to store anything you have and you probably wont fill it up for several years unless you are using it to store UHD videos and audio files. The build quality was just ok im not sure how much of a beating it could take and survive but that didnt matter much too me as i wasnt planning on dropping it off a building or backing over it with a car. So that said the item itself really has no issues with it you just need to be careful about where you buy it from and how much you spend because if you look around chances are you might be able to find it for less elsewhere.

I’m extremely impressed with the Crucial X10 Pro 4TB. The combination of 4TB of storage, very fast transfer speeds, and a compact design makes this an excellent external SSD for professional work. I mainly use it for 4K video editing and transferring large video files, and the performance is excellent. With sequential speeds rated up to 2,100 MB/s read and 2,000 MB/s write, transferring large files is significantly faster than with a traditional external hard drive or standard USB SSD. The 4TB capacity is also a huge advantage for video editors. I can keep a large amount of footage, projects, and other media on one portable drive without constantly worrying about running out of space. The build quality is another thing I really like. It’s small enough to carry anywhere, but it feels solid and professional. The IP55 water and dust resistance and drop resistance up to 2 meters give me extra confidence when using it on location or traveling. The USB-C connection is convenient, and it works well with modern Macs and PCs. Just keep in mind that getting the maximum advertised speed depends on having a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) connection. On systems with slower USB connections, performance will be lower. (Crucial) Pros: * 4TB of storage * Extremely fast transfer speeds * Excellent for 4K video editing * Compact and portable * Durable construction * IP55 water and dust resistance * Up to 2-meter drop resistance * Works with Mac and PC Cons: * Maximum speeds require compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 hardware * The price can be higher than slower external SSDs Overall: If you need a fast, reliable, portable SSD for video editing, photography, backups, or large files, the Crucial X10 Pro 4TB is an excellent choice. For my workflow, especially working with high-resolution video, this drive has been a great investment.

Perfect form factor and has excellent speed and reliability. If the price were a bit lower I would have purchased more. No regrets on the 4tb.
