Crucial is a well known, proven company of products. So chances are this is easily achievable in your results of speed if your transfer products and other memory drives and CPU specs can match that speed. So it needs to be paired with a start to finish setup that all can achieve that read/write speed. It is backwards compatible but will only achieve the maximum speeds that it pairs with, which may be quite lower, but it would still work and be very reliable to use even in that situation.

I'll be being another one
Pretty staright forward, its an external storage drive. It works great. Faster than i expected. Its also small and light which makes it super easy to transport.

I upgrade my mac!
This Crucial X9 Pro SSD is exactly what I needed. I recently got a new MacBook Air, and while it's fantastic, I found myself needing more storage for all my files and projects. This little drive is a lifesaver. First off, it's seriously fast. Transferring large video files and photo libraries is a breeze. It's so quick that it honestly feels like the data is on the internal drive. The USB-C connection is perfect and makes the whole process so seamless. My favorite part, though, is how I'm using it. I simply stuck it with a bit of double-sided tape right to the back of my MacBook. Now I can say I "upgraded" my storage without even opening the laptop! It's super portable and just works. I also really appreciate the security features. It was a simple process to set up a password, so now I feel confident that all my data is secure even if I were to misplace it. It's a small detail, but it makes a huge difference. Overall, if you're looking for a super-fast, reliable, and convenient external SSD, this is a winner. Great portable drive!
Got this for an emergency backup and it's a fantastic little size. Fits in the palm of your hand. Only 'ding' is the cable is SUPER short (roughly 9" long--see pic below). But you can swap it out for a longer one if you have one.
