Customer Ratings & Reviews

As someone who travels a lot for recording and editing footage, this is the best external storage device I have ever owned. Not only is it small, it's fast and holds a ton of storage. I've owned this SSD for 7 months now and have filled it to max capacity more than once. I work directly from the SSD with a lot of 4k footage and VFX and this thing hasn't bogged down my workflow even a little bit. Nice plus is that it works with both Mac and PC without any extra setup. The size and portability is perfect for even the tightest of work spaces. It's nice not to lug around a large form factor HDD anymore that takes up space I need when traveling. The rubber material on the bottom of the drive works surprisingly well at keeping the drive in place and this thing can take a beating. I can't count how many times I have dropped this SSD from my hands and it always survives with either no scratches or the slightest of blemishes. This is one of the few items I have bought where I have no bad things to say about it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid portable solution. This device is worth every single penny.

works perfect, fast, reliable and it's compact to take everywhere. I use it to work between my mac mini at the office and macbook pro when i travel

Small and convinient extra memory, portable and fast

Very good SSD, fast, reliable, small and lightweight. In the back has a rubber material to prevent for don’t slip.

Honestly being on the go all the time ita been a struggle to find somwthing that truly works for me and with me when working on so many client projects. Not only is this thing fast but its reliability is great

It's fast and mighty! I was so surprised how small it is. I definitely recommend.

Extremely small 4TB drive -- smaller than a credit card! Read and write speeds are fast. I used it for Time Machine on my Mac and it worked perfectly. The casing is made of metal and I didn't observe any overheating.

Great price for fast and portable storage device for my pc

Worked as intended. Test unit connecting it to a USB Gen 2 port, drive was formatted as NTFS. See attached.

Great build quality and transfer speed, and budget-friendly compared to competitor brands like Samsung.

Great for gaming/multimedia storage. Currently holding 2TB of games and about 1.5TB of photos/videos/music. 5/5 stars.

Is fast enough and works great. Works with my Linux, Mac, and Windows machines. The 4tb is a little expensive but well worth it for all of the extra storage.

Bought this to back up my files from HDD. Haven't gotten it to work yet because my computers are on the fritz.

I use these drives to film in raw on my iPhone 15 pro max. Then I edit directly on the drive before I publish.

I love this product.its small. I thought it was large. Its smaller than my palm.

I am so surprised at how powerful this little drive is.

Nice and portable, super fast, and holds a lot of data. Has taken a beating here and there and is still find. A good budget SSD. Smaller than you think!

Large storage capacity and decently fast read and write speeds for large file transfers. It’s also surprisingly small, it fits in the coin pocket of your jeans without the usb cable. I formatted in ExFat for use between macOS and Windows machines.

A great combination of capacity, speed, overall performance. These are also super for backing up modern phones, MUCH faster than any thumb drive, and no problem with the phone powering the drive via the USB C connection (plug the USB C included with the drive directly into the phone USB C socket).

I recently purchased the Crucial X9 Pro 4TB External USB-C SSD in Space Gray and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and design. Performance: The SSD delivers outstanding speed, making it a perfect companion for data-intensive tasks. File transfers are lightning-fast, significantly reducing the time I spend waiting for large files to move. It's reliable too, showing no signs of slowing down or glitches even after extensive use. Design and Build Quality: The space gray color gives it a sleek, modern look that I love. It's not just about the looks, though - the build quality is solid, feeling robust enough to handle day-to-day transport. Its compact size is a big plus, making it incredibly portable and easy to carry around. Compatibility and Ease of Use: I found the Crucial X9 Pro incredibly easy to set up. It was pretty much plug-and-play with my devices, and the USB-C connectivity offered hassle-free compatibility with my PC and Mac. The transfer speeds remained consistent across different devices, which was a huge relief. Value for Money: Considering its high storage capacity, remarkable speed, and build quality, I believe this SSD offers great value for its price. It's an investment for anyone who needs reliable and fast external storage. Additional Features: The SSD didn't come with a lot of extra features, but it didn't need to. Its performance speaks for itself. The heat management is commendable, as the device barely gets warm even after extended use. Overall Satisfaction: I am extremely satisfied with the Crucial X9 Pro 4TB SSD. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of speed, reliability, and design. For anyone in the market for a high-capacity, high-performance external SSD, I would highly recommend the Crucial X9 Pro.
