Nice design and function. I wish it were a little larger though. If you truly want a smokeless fire you must make sure the wood is below the top holes in the fire pit. Otherwise, a great looking fireplace!

This is a fantastic firepit for my backyard. There's always a misconception about how a "smoke-less" firepit is. If the wood is not dry enough, there will be smoke. I put his firepit side by side with a traditional one burning the same pile of wood that was sitting in AZ sun for 3 months. The smoke reduction in this firepit is about 70%. There is still smoke coming out of it, but it is more comfortable sitting next to this guy compared to the traditional firepit.

I don't know why other reviews says this item does not work. I also own the Solo Bonfire at more than double the cost of this fire pit. Both works fine. You may get some smoke if you use wood that are not dried but both fire pits work well. The Cuisinart comes included with a base that you have to pay separately with the Solo.
