I bought this knife when my old (corded) one died after more than 10 years' service. This one is heavier, I guess because of the battery, but it has a nice solid feel to it, and cordless makes it more flexible to use where there's no electric outlet. The need to push 2 buttons simultaneously for safety reasons when operating makes it slightly less convenient than the older model, but that's the time we live in now, safety above all else. Blades are seriously sharp, great for carving meat or cutting bread, although I didn't find it very useful for a soft dense cheese like gouda, even with the straight edge blade...but I didn't use my previous model for cheese anyway. Overall very happy with my purchase, especially at the promo price of $50.

I bought this cause my old one was dying. It is very nice and easy to use. The only thing that stopped it from getting five stars is the blades could've be a couple of inches longer. With that said. The handle cordless Cuisinart Electric knife can cut at any angle with out having to move an electric cord out of the way or turning your meat at a different angle to cut.

This is the best electric knife we have ever owned. It is easy to use and is cordless, bonus. It appears to be heavy duty, not like other vendors who have weaker models and less powerful. Highly recommended.

It's a little heavy to hold, but, much easier to use than my old electric knife because there is no cord

We keep this knife handy for quick carving of small roasts and cutlets, saving our corded knife for larger jobs. After a month, it continues to work well and has not yet needed to be recharged. The blades are extremely sharp and require caution when handling or cleaning.

Wire free allows for ease of use and convenience. Cuts great and easy cleanup.

Just used it for Thanksgiving to carve the 23 pound turkey and was very happy with it. I have been carving holiday turkey’s for over 30 years with plug in knives,and this outperformed those knives. So convenient not having a cord in the way. Blades are very sharp and there is a extra set of blades for cutting cheese or whatever. Very happy with the purchase.

Purchased 2 of these units and I can't remove the blade on 1 of them. For a Cuisinart product I feel is is subpar. I suppose it will work ok for some stuff but would not buy again.

I always hated electric knives because of the cord. I had one that ran on AA batteries, but it was worthless because it was not powerful enough. Enter the Cuisinart Lithium. No more cord and plenty of power. This is what a cordless knife is supposed to be.

I have been using an old corded carving knife for the last 20 years. I decided it was time to cut the cord. I found this knife on a Deal of the Day sale at a super price and made the purchase and I am very happy with it's performance.

Apparently this knife has good battery life. I sliced up two briskets and it had no problem. The knives did an excellent job slicing as well. Comfortable grip. Very highly recommend. Anything Cuisinart is good quality.

Very convenient that you are not tied down to one location being plugged into a wall outlet. Charge the battery and use it anywhere you want!

No wires is a good thing especially if you do not want to cut the cord. Cuisinart has always been a gadget of choice. Plus, on the daily deal it was a great price.

Amazing knife, i bought it as a gift to a friend that does bbq competitions and it worked great cutting perfect cuts with no cords in the way.

This has been everything I hoped for. Took some getting used to to attach and detach blades but then no problem.
