mewithoutYou - Pale Horses - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

It's impossible to imagine modern underground music without mewithoutYou the influence of their fifteen-year legacy has been nothing less than seismic. Pale Horses, mewithoutYou's sixth album, continues their unwavering artistic vision, while at the same time reinvents the band as uniquely as any of their fans would expect it to. Aaron Weiss has again produced a work of genius with his nonpareil poetic voice, rivaled only by the soundtrack the rest of his band has forced him to compete against through these eleven songs. The end result is a beautiful fusion not unlike the music found on the band's most revered releases. Album Tracks 1. Pale Horse 2 25 2. Watermelon Ascot 3 08 3. D-Minor 3 19 4. Mexican War Streets 3 34 5. Red Cow 3 59 6. Dorothy 1 39 7. Blue Hen 3 05 8. Lilac Queen 3 58 9. Magic Lantern Days 3 52 10. Birnam Wood 4 17 11. Rainbow Signs 6 03

mewithoutYou - Untitled Album - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

For eighteen years, Philadelphia's mewithoutYou has been a banner name for fans across genres because of their kinetic and truly original style. On their latest [Untitled] Album, the band continues to create the same intensity that has captivated fans for almost two decades. The record was produced by Will Yip at nearby Studio 4, the same place where 2015's epic Pale Horses was tracked. While elements of the band's signature sound still remain, there are new aspects at work. Lead single InchJulia (or, 'Holy To the LORD' on the Bells of Horses)Inch is an explosive slow-burner. Marked by a soaring guitar refrain that echoes throughout the first verse, vocalist Aaron Weiss' other-worldly lyrics are sung rather than shouted through his renown spoken-word style. As a whole the record moves like seasons - songs shift between chaos and intimacy, frailty and strength, cacophony and harmony with expert navigation. Album Tracks 1. 1. 9 27A.M., 7/29 2. 2. Julia (Or, 'Holy to the Lord' on the Bells of Horses) 3. 3. Another Head for Hydra 4. 4. [Dormouse Sighs] 5. 5. Winter Solstice 6. 6. Flee, Thou Matadors! 7. 7. Tortoises All the Way Down 8. 8. 2,459 Miles 9. 9. Wendy & Betsy 10. 10. New Wine, New Skins 11. 11. Michael, Row Your Boat Ashore 12. 12. Break on Through (To the Other Side) [Pt. 2]
