THQ is doing an awesome job with porting these great titles over. Darksiders 1 for the Switch was a good port, but I'll admit that some of the control were lacking just a little. Mostly the aiming for that matter. However Darksiders 2 is great all the way around. It looks fantastic, it runs very well, the controls feel good and the action and story are pretty solid. Very happy I picked this up. Definitely worth $30, even though it's been out for many years now. If you see it, get it!

It's not a heavy Role-Playing Game (RPG), but it's enough to keep the gamer busy. There are some obstacles that may take a few times to get through, not because of the game play itself, but learning the controls to accomplish those scenes. There are some scenes where you'd have to run sideways, along the wall, to avoid falling into a pit. You're able to choose which type of weapon you'll use based on the weapons you picked up after killing enemies. You're able to use two different weapons and utilize both in combination or on its own. It's a basic RPG where the map is pretty straight forward. I've not come across a level where I had to unlock a door by first finding characters that hold pieces of the codes and are in different sections of the map. I've not come across a level where you'd need a guide book just to figure out, where on the map you'll need to visit first before trying to complete the map section you're currently stuck in. It's a pretty basic RPG setup.

I initially played Darksiders 2 on Wii U back around the launch of Wii U. Back then, I thought the game looked great despite having less foliage then the 360 and PS3 versions, I thought it played great, and I thought ran well enough. However, the Wii U version missed most of the DLC. The Switch version has all of the DLC, looks better across the board, and has a much more stable framerate. While the Switch version isn't as good as the remastered version other platforms, it's hands down better then all of the non remastered versions. And, because it's on Switch, you can play it portably which is a big deal for me. I highly recommend it.

So glad to have this on NS. Great gameplay and soundtrack. Such a joy to have on the go. Crashed on me a few times on the last boss and some areas are rather blurry but overall this is the same great experience I remembered on PC.

Cards on the table: I love the first Darksiders. It's a great zelda-inspired game that elevates the combat to something closer to God of War or Devil May Cry. It isn't without its flaws, but given the noticeably-smaller budget than games in its class, it does a bangup job. As for Darksiders II, the scope has increased compared to the first game. This (mostly) leads to a bigger, better world with a lot of interesting things in it. My only major gripe was the hamfisted inclusion of a loot system. It needlessly slows the game down without adding anything of substance or value. Without the gear system, this would be a top-tier game worthy of recommendation to basically anyone. As it stands, it's an interesting continuation of the franchise for anyone who played the first one, assuming they can tolerate the loot.

If you like 3d beatemups or zelda style action, check this one out, very fun, and the art style is very cool.

I have been a fan of this franchise since the beginning. The original was very much like The Legend of Zelda and God of War combined. This game takes it up a notch with the different weapon drops and leveling system. It almost feels like a more 3D Diablo style looter at times. The game plays great and looks great on the Nintendo Switch!

I played the PC version when I was in middle school. Now I am graduated and working. The Darksiders still is a great game series. I already played this one over 100 hours. Just one concern, the Darksiders 2 has so so so many puzzles. Some one likes it but else doesn't.... Some part map will so complex. Enjoy it!

Graphics was excellent and game play was superb. Loved how the Nintendo Switch people are developing the games that are challenging and fun to play. Just wished they didn't cost so much, but you get what you pay for with this game. Graphics can't be beat.

Darksiders 2 for Switch continues the Darksiders Trilogy. Darksiders II main character is Death. Death goes on a journey to clear his brother War's name. The game itself has been ported over to Switch with some visual upgrades such as lighting and higher textures. If you haven't played a Darksiders game before it is like Legend of Zelda and God of War mixed together.

It's basically a Zelda clone. And that's not a bad thing. Fun and challenging. Great action/adventure game. Clearance item made it a must buy for the collection. Can't beat the price. Already played it and beat it on the Xbox 360. Well worth it for the Switch as you can now take it on the go.

I purchased the 1st time for the Switch and loved the gameplay as well as the artwork (I'm a HUGE Joe Madureira fan). This entry is no different in that regard. A few gameplay improvements here and there but overall a similar experience

I was excited when this first came to the latest gen of consoles. The problem I ran into was being able to play it due to my busy schedule. Now that it's made it to the Switch, I am able to fully enjoy the game like I did int he past.
