Limited 150gm vinyl LP pressing including digital download. Rock 'n Soul Part 1 (also titled Greatest Hits - Rock 'n Soul Part 1) was released on RCA in October 1983. The album featured mostly hit singles recorded by the duo and released by RCA, along with one single from the duo's period with Atlantic Records and two previously unreleased songs recorded earlier in the year InchSay It Isn't SoInch and InchAdult EducationInch. The album was originally released on LP and cassette, with sides labeled InchSide OneInch and InchSide AInch, and was the duo's first album to be released on the then-new compact disc . 2001 . Double LP is pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Incubus is ready to pave it's own way in the modern rock scene. With the brooding and crunchy musical themes of Morning View, it's almost hard to imagine that the album was written and recorded in the relaxed atmosphere of a California beach house. Drummer Jose Pasillas offers tasty percussive coloring in the breakout single, InchWish You Were Here.Inch the song's trippy verses set against it's heavily strummed choruses fits the profile of push-and-pull dynamics that Incubus fans have come to expect. Inch11amInch touches on regret and indecision with some neo-Eastern flavor and Mike Patton-inspired vocalizing by front man Brandon Boyd. InchFloatInch borrows from traditional Asian music and shows the band's near-fearless spirit of experimentation. Morning View's most eccentric track is the crafted epic InchJust a Phase,Inch whose quirky time signature changes and adventurous arrangement show that Incubus has a great deal more to offer than strategically placed turntable scratches.
