Dead Spaces return to form with a remake of the original title was done excellent. The narrative was done exceptional while remaining faithful to the original. You won’t be disappointed.

The Dead Space series has been my most fav series ever, and was hyped for this remake, and im happy with what they did with the game, more horror, action, better writting, and putting the Xbox Series X hardware to good use! Lots of replayability and looks beautiful. If you want a scary game for upcoming October you better grab this game!

I played the original multiple times. I have also played more then a few remakes/remastered games. This game is hands down the best updated version of any game i have ever played. It’s amazing how much they added and how good it looks!

This Dead Space Remake is phenomenal! This is how you do a remake of a horror game. The story, characters, graphics, and audio are ALL improved from the original game and this feels like a true upgrade. It's a masterpiece of a remake and one truly worth your money if you are into horror games. And if you love the Dead Space series of games like I do, this is a must-buy! I really hope they do a Dead Space 2 Remake of this quality followed by one for Dead Space 3. And who knows, perhaps EA Motive just might give us a Dead Space 4 one day. This is why I purchased this excellent game on Day 1 - because it's fantastic AND because I want to support this franchise. Here's hoping Dead Space makes a comeback thanks to this remake.

Dead space was one of the best survival horror titles of the PS3/360 era and EA/Motiv have done the impossible by living up to the legacy of the original as well expanding/improving on it in interesting ways. As a massive fan of the original and the slight disappointment of its spiritual successor in striking distances:The Callisto Protocol I was highly skeptical of this remake. What Motiv has managed to do is make an already impressive looking title and make it feel truly next generation. This isn’t simply a remaster this is a remake from the ground up using EA/DICE internal frostbite engine. Every aspect from the real time lighting, a mixture of ray traced/screen space reflections as well as some of the best audio this side of major blockbuster movies offer a truly immersive experience. While the game takes place in a single ship as like the original they have managed to make it semi-open something more akin to a Metroidvania which allows you to unlock the ship as you progress through the story. Eventually you’ll be able to traverse the ship from on end to the other. Characters have also been expanded on considerably making them more believable as well as much more like able than in the original. And carrying over from Dead space 2 Isaac now speaks and adds to the narrative, so gone is silent protagonist and we now have a fleshed character vs voiceless errand boy from the original. I know this may be a point of contention for some, but I prefer the new Isaac Clark who feels likes the engineering genius he was supposed to be in the original. This is a great game and perfect example of a remake done right. As horror fans we’ve gotten two of the best of all time remade and re-released in the same year Dead space and Resident Evil 4 is the 1-2 horror punch we needed.

Beautiful remake its one of my favorite games, has new controls then the older game. highly recommend this game, beautiful story and you can upgrade your weapons and suits until you max the ones you want out. you can replay the game when you beat it and get to keep all your things and continue to a new upgrade for your suit and your weapons. Great scares.

Dead Space (2008) was my favorite game when I first played it. Its the game that I wish I could go back and experience brand new for the first time! It's the game that I compare every other game to. I can't tell you how many times I have played through this game: for years I would replay it every October for Halloween. I think it goes without saying, I was a little excited for this game... But also a little amprehensive. I was unsure if anything could live up to my expectations. I am so glad to say that this lived up to my expectations. While it was like re-living the first time I played the game: the developers changed enough that it made the fame feel at least a little different while maintaining what made the original so special. Graphics are excellent, but the Sound mix was just *chefs kiss*!

Amazing remake! Brings me right back to the first time experiencing this back on the 360. Excellent sound design and an overall great time. Stock up on diapers. You're gonna need 'em.

I played Dead Space when it originally released and loved it. I loved the remake more than the original. It’s really faithful to the original while giving it quality of life updates and expanding on the story. Worth it for survival horror fans!

This game easily fits in a top 10 list. I've played it 2 times and could go another run because of the game plus. I hope EA makes another Dead Space.

I been a big fan of the original dead space game and I always go for physical copies to play games, I don't like digital games. This one looks neat for my collection

I was skeptical and thought this game did not need a remake. However, its faithful to the original while building on what made it great. It only added to the experience without taking anything away. If you enjoy horror this is a must.

If you love the original, you will love this. It's an amazing looking remake that you can tell was a passion for the developer. It's not a cash grab like the last of us part 1. This is an ACTUAL remake worth paying for

good as the original but better graphics, and better peformance on xbox x

I had never played the original Dead Space so I didn't know what to expect and I won't be comparing this game to the original 2008 game. This game is fantastic! I loved feeling like I was in a desperate situation for survival and that I had to carefully use every resource available. This was also the first game I purchased that I could play on the Series X but not on the Xbox One. Many people have told me that this is even better than the original in many regards. This proves that there is still a market out there for single player games and that remasters can be good. Go out and get this game regardless of if you're a longtime fan or just getting into the franchise like I am.
