Deap Vally - Marriage - VINYL LP
About this product
Being in a band is like being in a marriage sometimes it's magical, sometimes it's unbearably challenging. To reinvigorate that marriage, Deap Vally have made their third album a genre-bending experiment with new collaborators and instrumentation that push the limits of what has previously defined the duo - Marriage is their musical Rumspringa, if you will. The album sees Julie and Lindsey break free of the rigid creative constraints within which they previously existed (two members, two instruments, two voices) and invite in collaborators such as KT Tunstall, Peaches, Jennie Vee and Jennylee, as well as a range of producers including Allen Salmon, Josiah Mazzaschi and Harvey Mason Jr. Album Tracks 1. Perfuction 2. Billions 3. Magic Medicine 4. I Like Crime 5. Phoenix 6. Give Me a Sign 7. Better Run 8. I'm the Master 9. High Horse 10. Where Do We Go 11. Tsunami 12. Look Away

More than any young American rock band, Kills Birds approach their songs with an intensity that's so tangible it feels like the stakes are near life and death. Fronted by Nina Ljeti, a Bosnian-Canadian filmmaker the Los Angeles Times called InchL.A.'s most electrifying new rock singer,Inch their performances are visceral and cathartic, with guitarist Jacob Loeb's blistering riffs and Fielder Thomas' pummeling basslines. While 2019's Kills Birds was a debut that captured the promise of their grunge-inspired sound and Ljeti's unflinching lyrics, Married, their follow-up is a triumphant representation of everything that makes them so thrilling. It's a document of a band pushing their musical chemistry to new heights. Album Tracks 1. Rabbit 2. Cough Up Cherries 3. Natalie 4. Glisten 5. Reasoning 6. Offside 7. Woman 8. PTL 9.
