I have 2 sets of these that I bought open box on different occasions. They are absolutely fantastic when you pay either $70 like I did for one pair, or $200 like I did for the immaculate pair I got. Deftech service is outstanding too. I wouldn't say the quality is quite on par with what they were making 20-30 years ago, but for modern budget speakers they're great. Add a small sub and a decent amp and you'll be shocked by how good these are

I purchased the D7's to mate with a Sonos Amp and Project Essential-III Turntable. Mounted them on Sanus Steel Series SF34 stands. The footprint of D7 fit perfect left to right with about 1 inch overhang front and rear. Recommend buying stick on padding strips and placing them around all 4 edges of the Sanus stand speaker pedestal. Doing so will protect the lacquer finish of the underside of the D7's I positioned the D7's about 10 degress angled in toward the center of the listening area. The room is 12.5 ft W x 19 ft L x 8ft H. The tweeters are 77 inches apart measured from the center of each (along the width of the room). Sonically IMO they produce an excellent sound stage given their size with good detail; but lacking in the low-end. I added a Sonos sub that brought everything to life allowing the D7's to really show off their acoustic chops. That said if you don't want to invest in a sub then you should consider the D9 or D11 both of which have a top mounted passive radiator. To be clear you'll have better sound out of the box with the D9 or D11; but you still won't get the low-end a sub can produce. Bottom-line if you're looking for an excellent bookshelf speaker that won't break the bank then the D7 should be on your short list. However, as I said they really need to be paired with a sub to realize how good the D7's can sound.

I have an 11 speaker Marantz/definitive technology system, and I use these the sevens for Atmos… They do the trick and as I got them on sale I’m quite pleased with the quality.

These are fantastic, I knew my speaker shopping was at an end. I have a small bedroom so I bought the 4'' woofer midrange, and these have a nice thin look. They are very deep from front to back and have some weight to them. I also have a 8'' subwoofer which rounds off the bottom without being boomy and overpowering. They are very pleasing to listen to and yes to audiophiles, they draw you in and do not give you listening fatigue.

Bought to replace tower speakers. Good sound in a little package

These are beautiful speakers with a clever magnetic grill. The speaker is a slick laquer type finish, with all aluminum fronts. They are heavy which is a good thing, and the speaker connection on the back is very well made and versatile.

Using these for surrounds in a 5.1.2 setup. I have the d9s and cs-9040 as the front soundstage. These are amazing for surrounds. Took some time to get the proper position. I have them mounted on pa stands angled down toward the sweet spot. I tried the definitive bipolar surrounds but they messed with my front soundstage . These direct firing speakers absolutely blow our socks off for movies and music. Articulate and dynamic without fatiguing harsh treble. Actually that sums up everything I love about my definitive speaker setup.

These little bookshelf speakers sound absolutely amazing! I can't believe how good they sound! I have a vintage akai receiver/amp so I just figured my old speakers didn't sound that great because of the vintage electronics but it made a world of difference when I switched to my cheaper polk audio to these! I was blown away! they look amazing on the shelf too. Very solid build, luxurious materials, and impeccable design. Now I just dream about upgrading and upgrading till I can afford the big floor standers from this same line. But these are to die for!

I needed some quality bookshelf speakers with a small footprint to fit into my entertainment unit. I was completing my Dolby Atmos setup and the Best Buy rep suggested these. So far the clarity is excellent and they seem to handle the power from my Yamaha 2070 receiver well. The sound depth and separation are better than expected for a speaker this size. They seem well built and sturdy. I haven't noticed any compromises yet. They are attractive and handle movies and music well.

We needed bookshelf speakers to replace our tower speakers and were pleasantly surprised that we didn't sacrifice sound quality by going to a smaller speaker. In fact, my wife and I can barely tell the difference between our previous speakers and the Demand D7. The clarity of sound from the high spectrum to the lows are amazing considering the size and cost.

Got this pair (2 in a box so don't by 2 pairs!) for my surround sound system. Sound great, though probably would have bought a size up. Need to put them on a stand. They sit on stand and do not use any hooks or screws.

The neighbors complain because the base is so loud lol. These are really good speakers the imaging is fantastic. They are perfect for a small to medium size room. Hook a sub up and get the police called on you.

For the price, the speaker fills the room. Used on a second unit placed in a bedroom. Nice bass and they sound much larger than you would imagine.

I just purchased these with a new Audiotechnic 120 turntable and powered with the NEW sonos amp. These speakers sound incredible, but I definitely recommend adding a sub. We added a small Martin Logan Dynamo 700w sub and it’s a dream setup.

I used these speakers to compliment the 9020's I purchased at Best Buy. They are perfect.....the 9040's and above have additional tweeters and mid range, but unnecessary additional subwoofers. These bring the additional highs and midrange for a perfect sound. They sit atop my large entertainment center mid the placement of the 9020's. I couldn't be more pleased!
