A: I bought a Wacom active pen and it works very well. It supports click and write.

A: The Dell rep is wrong on this. Yes this laptop supports USB c power delivery I charge it almost exclusively this way when on the go.
Q: How much cache does the ryzen 7 support & how many cores are on it... what is the chip id number?
A: The AMD Ryzen 7 4700U has 8 cores with L2 cache - 4 MB and L3 cache - 8 MB.
Q: Is this laptop made of aluminum?
A: From Dell's Website for this model: "Final touches: We elevated our design with an aluminum top cover and palm rest that features diamond-cut edges around the track pad." So, some aluminum and the rest plastic. Bottom cover is often plastic because it can be removed more easily for upgrades.
