My husband, who has little experience setting up and running a new computer, put it to the test to evaluate this item from a “newbie’s perspective.” His comments are as follows: 1. Fast, friendly voice-assisted set up. 2. Fast computer speed. 3. Easy to use. 4. Nice size screen. 5. Keyboard is backlit, which is great if you need that extra touch at times when there may be inadequate lighting. 6. He had no negative comments to post. The display is 15.6 inch HD, which gives excellent visualization of programs, apps and files. The Intel Core i5 processor is powerful to handle multiple screens with speed. The long-lasting 42Wh battery keeps this Dell laptop on for long periods, which is most appreciative. The slim casing is appealing. Generous hard drive for storage. You’ll need a large hard drive for the Windows 10 program, so it works seamlessly in this case. Overall, I’m impressed. I’ve been using PCs since 1988 and this is the first time I am using a Dell product. I am a rigorous business user and part of a heavy-technology family. It takes a lot to impress me - but I am.

This computer is great for school work. It's fast, easy to use. I highly recommend it. The only thing I don't like is the battery life but other than that great computer.

Pretty loyal Dell user (my last one is still kicking for basic home use after 7 years), but I did consider a variety of other brands this time. This one still ended up giving me a good combination of familiar (needed immediately for work, no time to learn all new tricks!), with extra perks that were brand new to my work life (like the touchscreen and tablet abilities). Setup and syncing with my old laptop was a breeze. Easy to work with on the road, and the larger screen is great (though a bit glaring). All in all, it was a solid choice that didn't delay me getting my work done, and has actually made it possible for me to work faster and more collaboratively. Only tips: Battery time is about 4 hours in constant use, speakers are on the bottom (which is extremely odd to me and does muffle sound a bit; Bluetooth helps in the speaker arena), and I suggest getting a venting stand eventually (doesn't get too hot, but my old XPS had a built-in stand to help air circulate under, and this of course doesn't; so I could see it being a small issue if you're working overnighters frequently or in warmer environments).

I'm the IT guy in a small company and purchased this laptop for a colleague. This computer has nice specs and is solidly built. But with the hard drive, it isn't really anything special. I also purchased a 1TB SDD and installed it as part of the set up process. After having the SSD installed, this is really a very nice computer. My colleague is very pleased with it. Likes the display, touch screen, and how well it performs. I definitely recommend it.

I bought the Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive - Era Gray from best buy and I am really happy with its performance. The 2 way usage makes a lot easier to work as a touch pad as well.

Plenty of storage for pictures, video and files, perfect for students. This laptop is fast and screen size is great for multitasking. Touch feature is super helpful especially when taking class notes.

This laptop was a gift to my husband whom only uses it for scanning the web, paying bills on-line, listening to music and email. For him, this was the perfect laptop. He had a Dell previously and it lasted over 5 years, this was a perfect replacement. I got it all set up, it was quick and easy and I loved that it found the printer, the network right away and within a half hour we were up and running. I do like that it's touchscreen, as does he. The picture is crystal clear and it's very fast. This was well worth the money spent and I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a nice laptop, not too pricey and very easy to set-up. I'm sure this laptop will last him a good 5 years plus.

Everyday I learn a little bit more about my new phone and the multiple features and capabilities of the apparatus. It will take me a bit more time to become comfortable and at ease with using the multiple applications associated with my new telephone. I will be 71 years old soon and I feel like I am in a new world after having a flip cell phone for the past 12 or so years; I guess this is my real introduction to the 21st century's 'electronics explosion'....

I like everything about this laptop. Screen is excellent, plenty fast, and lots of storage.

I was in desperate need of a new laptop to finish out the semester and a good one for Graphic Design. I was recommended this one. I wasn't big on touchscreen laptops and I didn't use that for awhile but it has come in handy. It was also a sale at the time so for an awesome price, I got a 2 in 1, i# core with a 2TB hardrive. It does everything I need it to do, and runs pretty smooth. The two guys that worked that day were awesome and very knowledgeable a bout the products being offered so it helped also to minimize shopping time.

Loving this Dell. We've been using Asus at my office for the past few years even though we always had a great experience with Dell in the past. I didn't like the Asus displays in store as much as the Dell, and the online reviews for Asus we not as strong as for this Dell. Loving this computer in every way! Easy to set up, most beautiful display out of everything in our office, and it runs our huge (>70 meg) spreadsheets quickly. Added bonus is the svelt charger

Recently, I had to travel out of state on business. The day before I had to leave, I realized I'd loaned a friend my old laptop and had never gotten it back. No time to track it down, so I went online to Best Buy, looking for a deal and found this one almost instantly. I checked reviews, did a little research and then ordered it, even though I hesitated briefly because it was a little more than I wanted to spend. Picked it up at my local store within two hours. Not too bulky or heavy, it's user friendly and easy to travel with. I love the touchscreen, makes internet research easier and quicker, plus it's fun for my grandkids to play games on when I'm not using it. The battery lasts at least 5-6 hours, sometimes more, depending on what I'm doing on it. Fast processor, very responsive. Graphics are good; my grandkids love to play games on it when I'm not using it.. I don't like the antivirus software it came with, so I just uninstalled it and got my own, but that's the only thing I didn't like about it. Definitely got my money's worth and more!

This was a replacement laptop for my husband. His prior one had been acting up and was extremely slow as well as not functioning properly. We looked at a variety of machines and considered one with a Solid State Drive to really boost performance but ultimately decided on this one. Not disappointed at all!! This machine works great and has great "pick-up." The husband is VERY pleased!

The Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 touch screen laptop is great. Has all the things you need without all the bulkiness of a desktop. The tablet feature is good for just surfing the web or read a book. The only con is the battery doesn't last very long.

My nephew needed a laptop for college, and after reviewing several others, this was perfect for his first year. He had enough memory, the speed did not lag, and he was able to video conference his classmates without hesitation and the touchscreen was a bonus... He passed his first semester!!! It was definitely worth the investment...

So far i really like this computer. My wife has been using it and is pleased with the speed and functions of it. I like that you can use it as a computer or a tablet all in one. I would recommend it to you.

Always seem to buy the cheap laptops and that's exactly what they are. Decided to buy a nicer one and no complaints about this one. Runs smoothly and definitely better than the cheaper versions.

I bought this to be an "at home" computer, but was skeptical because I'm used to an Ipad. I bought this because I could shift it into tablet mode and also use the touch screen access. This computer has been wonderful- battery is good, memory is great and is so easy to set up and use!
