Excellent computer. The ports seem to be sensitive. 1 usually gives out. This was my second Dell and I think this laptop was great for what I used it for. Which was editing and photoshop. Not sure if it was the best for those programs or for those reasons but I was satisfied with the product and think I will continue using Dell for the time being. I’m purchasing my 3rd XPS Dell. I am able to live with some of the drawbacks. Though the port durability, and maybe the battery life or charger can sometimes be called into question, after the later life of the laptop. I am truly satisfied and love the Dell XPS product. And I look forward to purchasing my 3rd Dell XPS laptop.

I got this laptop to trade on. 100% only reason. I will say trading on a platform called NinjaTrader it does ok. The charts would lag a bit and speed didn’t seem all that great. I was going to return it but then I decided to switch back to tradingview and Tradovate and this is where this laptop shines. The touch screen and utilizing the charts on tradingview is nice. Battery life with NT was around 4hrs which is trash. Switching to Tradingview I’m seeing around 8 to 9hrs. Maybe it’s because it’s all web based i honestly have no clue. If I stick to the web based platform this laptop rocks. Using the desktop platform for NT it’s not great at all. A true desktop is required for that software. Overall though the keyboard, trackpad, and 4K screen are pretty slick. I was going to trade in this laptop for the 13” MacBook Pro but biggest reason for keeping it is the touch screen and working with tradingview with it and screen. I can watch Netflix as well and so far have seen solid 8 to 10hrs with just web based stuff. Haven’t pushed this with much else so I can’t talk about that side of it but I’d have to say it would do fairly well. Price wise this may be overpriced. If I can find another laptop with a similar screen with the aspect ratio before I can return it I may swap it but as of right now I’m fairly satisfied. Again my main reasons is because of the touchscreen, quality of screen, battery life and trackpad. Performance meets expectations

I had to go through a 13" MacBook Pro and a 16" MacBook Pro before giving up on them due to poor thermals and poor performance (the lack of upgradeable storage and ram didn't help). Instead I went for this for less initial investment, bought a 2tb nvme ssd and 32gb of Ram and I'm in the same amount as I was for the 13" MacBook with much better performance and storage. The display is bar none the best I've seen on a laptop and the edgeless bezel makes it literally jaw dropping the first time you power it on or watch 4k footage on it. I use it mainly for 4k60 footage editing in premiere pro and it works great even hooked up to two monitors. The 1650ti has no problem running autocad and solidworks as long as the assemblies aren't too large. Wish I had this machine when I was in engineering school.
