Wow. I freaking love this. The price tag seems prohibitive at first but once you use it, you’ll never go out for coffee again. I’m truly hooked. Everything is easy to use and understand. Be patient your first few tries pulling espresso. Practice and waste a few pulls to get comfortable- the guide that’s given isn’t very good as far as grind coarseness and dose level- use the guide for temp controls for sure. The pictures are what you need to look at- color and speed. I use the filtered water from my fridge to fill the basin- in my experience- if you have hard water- you absolutely want to use filtered water to reduce the amount of descalings you do. A++++++ product.

So happy with our purchase. Machine is easy to use and makes amazing espresso and coffee drinks. Saving so much money by making my drinks at home. Even better that we got it half off on a daily deal promotion.

Produces Great espresso and crema. My only complaint is that it can't produce shots back to back, it needs a few minutes to cycle through. On the plus side it's highly customizable to give you the perfect grind size and amount and temperature.

Reviews I read prior to buying were spot on - it will take a few attempts of trial and error to get it where you want it but after that it is a fantastic machine. Only reason not 5 stars is I wish the water reservoir was larger and the bean holder would be easier to clean out if you decided you want a different bean in the hopper you are pretty much stuck.

I did a ton of research on a lot of machines. I kept coming back to this one. What I did not see though were the MANY negative review regarding the air pump. I had purchased this as a Christmas gift for myself that was also supposed to double as our Christmas Eve party coffee maker for all of my family members. Upon opening I was very excited, it has a sleek design and it perfect for ease and user functionality.. or so I thought. HOURS. We spent hours of time trying to get this to work. Our first issue was us not being able to flush the system. Which this issue was NEVER addressed as a warning within the manual. After many YouTube videos and some creative wording we found it. It like many other of these machines has an air pump issue. The correct verbiage is “air lock” we tried everything and nothing works. Unfortunately all of the techs were closed for the Holidays so we have a $800 machine sitting as a massive decor item yet useless. We also had issues with the grinder working although it might have just also been due to us never being able to flush the system because it appears once you do that the other functions work or are supposed to. Needless to say I am ANNOYED. I will wait until Monday and be optimistic but I already have a Terra Kaffee automatic espresso maker in my cart on standby for when I dissapointingly might have to return this machine.

Easy to use. Provides a perfect cup of coffee every time. The hopper is convenient as it holds the beans instead of having to continuously refill it. The water temperature for a hot cup of coffee is spot on. It’s saves time to have this all in one machine.

I am not a fan of coffee however when my Boyfriend bought this, I had to try it! I tried the Espresso for the 1st time and it is DELICIOUS!!! I wake up every morning craving a cup.

Great machine for the price that will give you great espresso IF you put the effort in to learn and dial in the process. If you drink a lot of coffee and you’re willing to spend the time to learn a little about the craft, this machine will make you great stuff. Mildly life changing to have espresso better than most cafes at your finger tips. Don’t use greasy bad beans, freshly roasted will give you the best results.

Really good coffee machine. Works great! Doesn’t take too much time to make coffee. Doesn’t take too much space in the kitchen. Really easy to make coffee! Love it!

easy to use specially the stamping. makes coffee prep every morning so easy. jus wish stamping is made of stainless instead of chrome plastic.

Had a fully automatic espresso machine for years. This machine is definitely an upgrade.

I've had this for 3 months now. And as a newbie, it's been amazing. I like the simplicity of the options. I don't find it overwhelming, but more intriguing if anything. Once you have your dosing dialed in, the flavor is consistent every time. I think my favorite part is the water level sensor. Knowing I'm not going to run out of water mid shot is fantastic.

Easy to use, now I don’t have to pay for expensive coffee out of home

This machine blows all the rest out of the water! One of the best cups of coffee/espresso I’ve ever had hands down! Yes, it’s up there in price, but this machine will pay for itself over time and not disappoint! Also, it’s aesthetically pleasing!

I was looking for an espresso machine for a long time. Doing the research and trying to understand the ins and outs of the tech associated to them. Quality, benefits and functionality were my main sell points. I finally decided to buy the D’longhi La Especialista, at Best Buy. Best. Desicion. Ever. Not only met my expectations but it’s truly a beautiful piece of machinery and a high quality artifact that delivers the most perfect brews in any style you want. Money well spent. Bye starbucks!

Not as powerful of steam wand as I thought it would be, and if does end up with a lot of water in the drip tray when using. Ready to use with the push of a button, and super simple setup. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I love this machine, it’s a little bit pricey but I trust this Italian brand. We’ve been using De Longhi for the last 10 years. I use Lavazza coffee everyone who comes to my house always comments how good my coffee is
