This record player was a great purchase, super great quality for an affordable price, super beginner friendly and extremely easy to set up, it has its own build in preamp so you don’t have to worry about that, I’ve played both 12” and 7” records and it works flawlessly

I bought this turntable to replace a 30+year old Pioneer turntable and was very hopeful this would work out. I took it out of the box and was surprised how light it was, like a kids toy. I installed it with my system and tried to turn it on. No power, nothing. The front buttons didn’t work and were very cheaply made and designed poorly. The rubber disk was very thin and the tone arm didn’t have a clamp to secure it. The instructions showed a ground wire along with the 2-RCA wires, but there wasn’t one present. Overall, cheaply made for a great brand. Wouldn’t buy it. Spend a little more $$ and get a better one.

Hello James. Sorry to learn the DP-29F did not meet your expectations. Once the supplied belt has been placed around the motor spindle and platter, confirmation of power is visible as the platter begins to rotate following the selection of the start button. Additional convenience features can be found as you move up our current line of turntables.

Simple to set up, plugs into my denon receiver, sounds really good for playing vinyl records. Got a great cover, the size is great fits anywhere. Color matches all my other equipment.

So far so good. One thing not too obvious was the switch under the turn table for a PHONO receiving input. It came flipped to preamp and sounded terrible. Took a while to find the switch (not knowing what it was). Sounds great now.

I plugged it into my sound system and, within minutes, was listening to albums I haven't played in years. I found stuff in my attic I didn't even know I had. I'm not an audiophile so I have no opinion on the quality of the sound. I just know this machine does everything I need it to do.

This is a great way to get your toe back into vinyl business. Worked perfectly out of the box. Pretty low end build quality, but I can't fault the performance. Like the automatic performance, but it does lack a manual lift option as well as a tone arm lock position.

Listening to music on vinyl is far more superior than that from CDs. Each and every instrument comes through in such a manner that you are mesmerized by the quality of the sounds.

This turntable isna major disappointment as it over amplified and distorted when hooked up to mybsone receiver. I even bought 2 new stylus’s to no avail. Waste of time and money.

Hello JanthonY. Thank you for taking the time to submit your experience with the DP-29F turntable and your Sony component. The symptom you describe is generally what happens when the phono pre-amplifier built into the DP-29F has been activated with the DP-29F then connected to the phono input of a receiver or integrated amplifier. The way to resolve this issue is to either connect the DP-29F into a regular line input of the receiver or integrated amplifier, or to deactivate the phono pre-amplifier (switch hidden under turntable platter) built into the DP-29F. Here is a link to the manual which explains how to operate the on/off selector for the DP-29F's phono pre-amplifier (bottom half of page 6): https://assets.denon.com/documentmaster/us/dp-29f-om-e_201.pdf

I received the product with a broken rubber sling. I contacted Denon but no help. I emailed the receipt of the purchase, and I got email that they did not receive it. Also very difficult to get hold of live person, continuous recording

No issues, and it's nice to play all of my vintage vinyl albums again.

Good instructions for easy installation. It is a replacement for a broken turntable and it fits well in our cabinet. Our old vinyls sound great on it.
