Absolutely impressive sound for the size. Deep bass, clear mids, and room-filling volume without distortion. Design is sleek and feels premium. Expensive, but performance matches the price.

For the their size, they are hands down best speakers I've ever heard. The highs were piercing (in a good way). The bass was very impressive. Like advertised, there was zero distortion even when at 100%. Even though bass was impressive the low lows just didn't show like I'd like for the price. I decided to upgrade to the Phantom I's. Everything the Phantom II's were but add some power and the deep lows I was missing. For a smaller space and easier portability these are amazing!

Thanks for your feedback Andy. Yes, the larger diaphragm of the subwoofer complimented by the more powerful amp does translate to a more dynamic range. We are happy to hear you find the right system to fit your needs and space. Happy listening. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/devialet.png" alt="devialet" title="devialet" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />

Bittersweet. The sound is spectacular with a pair (getting one is pointless, don’t do it). Better than I could have even imagined. Classical music, jazz and music with production value (think Donald Fagen’s IGY)… unbelievable. For classical, it sounds live, like it is in the room with you. However… The power button on one of mine was wonky from the get go. I would have to push it twice (at first) and within two months was pressing it 6 times to power on off. Clearly malfunctioning. The speakers would intermittently cut out during playback, and despite the quality of sound… that is really frustrating. Which leads me to the final point of grievance. It takes a lot of patience to connect them to Bluetooth. Sometimes they connect. Sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they don’t realize they’re a stereo pair. MANY times I’d have to delete the connection and start from scratch renaming the speakers for connection. One day I spent two hours and couldn’t get them connected. And that wasn’t a user issue, because the day before they’d connect and play. Sometimes they’d say they were connected and my Qobuz player was playing…but no sound output. Had enough. Love the sound. Can’t stand the connection and shoddy button issue. Returned them. Even though it was past the 15 day return period… I made a big enough stink (and rightfully, I believe) that they issued a refund. That power button would eventually not work. And the connection issues I lived with for ten weeks and they never resolved. Best speaker I’d ever heard. But most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with speakers.

Absolutely love this speaker, only regret is not biting the bullet and going for the 4500W model right off the bat! This speaker looks and sounds amazing. My only real complain is that the matte black finish scratches very easy and the Bluetooth connect could have better range. Seems like if I get further that 15 feet from the speaker while connection it’s hit or miss on maintaining a solid connection.

Hi,
We are pleased to hear you are enjoying your speaker!
Just a quick tip- If you haven't already you can download the Devialet App to your mobile device and set up the speaker using Wifi. The benefits to doing this are you will not be limited by the range of your bluetooth and as an added bonus get a big bump in sound quality as well.
You can also connect your unit to your Television using a Mini-Toslink optical cable. I hope you found this helpful, happy listening.

This is a tough review to write. I own 2 of these speakers. I have owned them for at least 3 years. The speakers look and sound great. Every time someone comes to my house and they see the speakers they are blown away with how cool they look. As for the sound, also delivers the goods. But when listening to rock music, the speaker doesn't shine as well as listening to Pop Music. Now here is the bad things about this product. This speaker is the most sensitive, quirky and temperamental product I have owned. It loses network connectivity constantly! Devialet support recommends to connect my speakers with a network cable directly to my router. What a joke! in this day and age. This defeats the purpose of calling it a wireless speaker. Then when trying to re-connect them to my network, it goes days before I can get a connection. Another joke! I should not have to call support (over seas in France) just to re-connect to the speakers. I have to reboot Mac Book Pro, iPhone, unplug speakers, unplug router you name it. It's 2024 folks, this product should auto connect and stay connected! But it doesn't. Like I mentioned earlier, speakers look and sound great but because of the other issues and the price point, I could never recommend this product to anyone.

Hi Anthony, I'm really sorry about the experience you've been having with the speakers. The Phantom are indeed very much reliant on WiFi, so a good configuration is a must for them to stay connected. We recommend you contact our customer service so we can try and help you get the best experience out of your speakers ! I’m a devoted Devialet customer for years. My main listening room has the 250 Pro that powers and controls my stereo. Amazing reproduction on every level and very expensive. The speakers and all the connecting cables etc make it quite an investment. These Phantom Reactor speakers are a marvel. You have to hear them to fully appreciate their magnificent abilities. You would have to spend thousands more to achieve their level of excellence and playability . Wireless, portable, huge and accurate sound!

I purchased a new set of Phantom II speakers in the deep blue color, along with legs, remote and cases. Spent $4,000.00. The hope I had was to have seemless stereo pairing and music in my living room. Boy have I spent hours and hours troubleshooting these speakers. The stereo functionality is broken, Devialet support will tell you that it's best to hard wire the speakers , which is not why I bought "wireless" speakers. One speaker will constantly not play music which will lead you down a rabbit hole of reconnecting and reconfiguring the speakers - splitting your wifi bands - and driving yourself insane. Support also told me that Devialet is aware of the issue but simply do not want to fix the software due to their small team. BUY SOMETHING ELSE, do not waste your time.

Same story as half of these reviews. I was stoked to get a great deal on an open box, but all I did was open Pandora's box...and I don't mean the streaming app. I've wasted more hours configuring them right and still getting no sound it's ridiculous. I contacted support and they wanted me to wire them into an Ethernet router but it's a joke. I'm sure the previous owner had problems with these which is why they were returned in the first place. None of the engineering that makes the speakers great is worth a dime if you can't make them work and I'm now an expert on the procedures...but I'm done. C'est la vie!

Hello, I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues. Our products are highly dependant on bandwidth and require a strong network to function.
This can indeed be done via Ethernet, but there are other alternatives. Please reach out to the customer service again so we might help ! Best,

DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A STEREO SETUP. You will spend hours troubleshooting with support only to be told that your wifi setup is at fault when every other device that you own (including other speakers) work just fine. Do a little research and read the App Store reviews before you invest multiple thousands of dollars into these. Devialet is aware of the issues and refuses to issue a fix or communicate with customers.
