Out of the box you'll get a pretty well charged powerbank that has an RGB light embedded inside it This can be connected to pretty much any smartphone or camera. I like it because it mounts directly to my digi-cam and it can charge my phone. This is one of those things you buy and don't think you need until you start using it and wonder how you got along without it. It has multiple hues such as red, blue, white, green, yellow & purple. You know how RGB works by now, I'm sure, but it also has a strobelight effect. It's plenty bright and can easy blind you momentarily, if you're too close. So it you're using this to Vlog, like myself, just be sure to give yourself some distance and set it to the proper brightness. I wear glasses, so it can be a problem if it's directly in front of me. Again, it's all about the settings. It lasts roughly about an hour and a half with decent brightness and I've been able to get 2 hours out of it on the white setting. t has a 4000 mAh rechargeable battery, so you can carry this around, instead of your usual power bank, unless you plan to do some filming. In that case , I suggest that you bring along an extra powerbank. It's basically designed like a smartphone, so make sure you don't pick it up, thinking it's your phone. Trust me,it can happen. I really like this light bar, but it isn't for everyone. At the going rate of $119.99USB, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you should go another route. A cheaper route. If you got the cash to burn, I'd still wait for a sale. But at the moment, I can't recommend it.

I was expecting this light to be cheap and made of plastic. But I was completely wrong. The light itself is the size of a large phone (albeit, heavier), made of metal and extremely well built. It’s versatile in that it produces a broad range of lighting colors (vs. just a white light), brightness, and it can even charge your phone. Not to mention that it’s dead simple to use. If you are in the market for a light for video/photography (DSLR or phone) you should definitely consider this light. IN THE BOX You get the light itself, and a USB charging cable, as well as (I guess I’ll call it) an adapter that screws into the light so that you can mount it to the hot shoe in your DSLR. EASE OF USE It came charged up, (at least for me), but I plugged it in anyway. It took about 30 minutes to be completely charged. Turning it on is simple, there’s a hard switch on the top of it. When it’s on, the screen on the back is luminated which gives you a battery indicator, tells you how long it will last until the battery dies, and then it tells you the hue and brightness. I have to admit, the hue is presented in degrees, and as a camera novice, it didn’t mean much to me at first. But when you use the buttons on the right side of the light to adjust the hue, it changes the colors (as well as the percentage). For me, it ended up being trial and error. The light ranges from red, to yellow to green and more. I simply adjusted the settings to achieve the color that I felt best for what I was doing. And then obviously you can adjust the brightness, which is a plus and minus button immediately below the hue settings. I make a lot of stop action movies at home with my kids (we are very much amateurs) and the light really came in handy. It’s portable, so you don’t have to keep it plugged in, and the different lights helped us create different vibes in our movies which we couldn’t do before. We’ve used it outside at night, and it worked great. It’s extremely bright. MISC The product description life says it can last 14 hours, but after I charged it up, it said it would last 2.5 hours. So I'm not sure what that's about. While I didn’t run the battery down in a straight 2.5 hours, I was able to charge it up, then use it at different times over the course of a week without issue. I don't know if the 14 hours rating is for the lowest brightness settings or what. I didn’t use it as an external battery pack, but I always appreciate flexibility in devices (I generally wouldn’t carry this light without a phone charger). And some people might use this light to record with videos on their phone, where this feature would be more handy. You can adjust the light so it is horizontal or vertical. Meaning the adapter that attaches to your DSLR (or equivalent) can attach to the long spine or the shorter ends. I’m not sure why this matters, but I’m sure for some that know way more than me it might. CONCLUSION All in all, this is a well-built device with a lot of different color and brightness options that makes it extremely versatile.

In run and gun shoots this is perfect. It packs 135 LEDs—45 RGB, 45 daylight, and 45 tungsten—with 25 color temperature adjustments from 3200 to 5600K with brightness is adjustable in 24 steps using a dial and rocker switch. The RGB LEDs provide you with 21 Effect modes. There is a small LCD screen to display battery power, runtime, brightness level, and color temperature or RGB effect mode. Improvements Color - I'd rather see this in matte black so it blends with gear. App - I'd like to see the addition of a Bluetooth chip to allow for remote control using an app. Another 1/4"-20 thread - I'd like to see them add another on the top of the light would give the bottom ports more use across different cameras. Move USBs to the top or side in order to increase usability for charging while mounted on camera. VERDICT This is a buy, in my opinion. With the RGB and color temperatures being fully adjustable I want this in my bag and will be buying 2 more to have a small portable 3 light setup for video.

I'm going to attempt to avoid things that have been covered multiple times elsewhere ie read the other reviews if mine feels like it's lacking. Nothing wrong with any other reviews here, simply no point in me regurgitating the same talking points. How does this thing not cost more? The only reason that really comes to mind is the interface for adjusting the settings. It gets a lot done with a minimal setup, but there's a drawback to that. There are; - on/off slider (self explanatory) - MENU push button (progresses you through 3 main settings) - SELECT up/down/push toggle ("push" allows progression through the sub-menus while "+/-" (up/down) handle adjustments of each specific setting - BRIGHTNESS rotary wheel ("+/-" wheel that handles brightness/intensity) All of these are visible on the small but clear display on the rear of the light. But, you have to get accustomed to the order of the menu. Yes, there are only 3 main categories, but the first few times through I found myself bypassing a setting thinking the sub-menu I was looking for was in a different main area...only to have to cycle around again, flip through the sub-menus, and then find what I was looking for. NOT a deal breaker, but in a device that has so many pro's, I'm really searching for a con...and this is pretty much the only thing I can come up with. Output is amazing, the features:cost ratio is through the roof (again, how is this thing now $200+?), and feel of it is even really nice. It has a heft to it, the buttons/switches/toggles have a solid action, as well. The body is metal and feels like it will certainly stand up to a few drops and years of use/abuse. Time will tell, but for ~$100 this is a no-brainer purchase/recommendation. Have a friend/relative that has any sort of interest in content creation? Photography? Cinematography? Doesn't matter, this is an awesome entry-level device to help expand their horizons. And not just hobbyists; have an event/party going on at your house? You can select the fire/candle or club setting, adjust it to suit the mood, place it behind a couch, on a surface to reflect against a wall, or whatever to add some ambiance to the space. Relatively cheap and extremely easy way to add a professional and polished look to a gathering. Oh, AND it has a built-in power bank. Great to when you forget your regular power brick, are in a pinch and need to charge, etc etc etc. For some photos all I did was select a color and rotate the light with each photo ~33*. The first it is off, then on but facing 180* away. You can see it already fills little nooks and crannies with color. By the time I have it facing towards the subject the entire room is flooded with color. Note; I did move the light about a foot deeper into the space so in that last photo is winds up being completely backlit. I probably should have kept it in the same spot, but what are you going to do? This was merely a couple impromptu photos in a completely uncontrolled environment. With some proper time, set up, and prep, this little thing could really yield some cool results.

I have been looking for portable and lightweight video/camera light for my mirrorless camera and got Digipower - RGB On-Camera - Portable Video Light with Built-in 4000mAh Power bank, 21 Lighting Effects, and 3200K-5600K - LCD Screen (Model DP-VLRGB). It came with Digipower RGB Multi-Mode LED Video Light, Cold Shoe Adapter for Cameras, and USB Cable. Build quality is excellent and very lightweight. It came with a full charge and most of the buttons on the right side. It has a digital display to show battery level, brightness, and remaining time. There are 3 modes CCT, HSI, and Effect can be controlled with the mode button and Select / Brightness buttons allow to adjust the level of color modes and brightness. At the bottom of the device, there are two ports one with USB 5V/2A out and another one with Type-C 5V/2A in. I have installed the cold shoe adapter for cameras to the Digipower and put it on my camera. It fitted perfectly on the camera. It can be installed horizontally or vertically as there are two 1/4” tripod mounts on each side. The 24-brightness feature is great, and I can adjust the brightness depending upon the photography needs. It has 135 LEDs and will light up the entire room. I was able to use it for photography with 5000K daylight brightness close to 1 hour. The color modes will take photography to the next levels with creative lighting. The photos came out way better with less ISO with the combination of Digipower and highly recommend this portable video light.

Being a part time photographer and videographer I have quite a collection of lights. From softboxes to ring lights to little flat panel lights like this one. So far I’m pretty impressed with it! The light comes with a soft carry case and metal hot shoe mount adapter. It charges up via a USB C connection and has a USB A port to use as a battery charger for other USB powered devices. In other words you can charge up your phone with it. It has an OLED display on the back that tells you battery status, color and intensity. It has 45 3200K LEDs, 45 5600K LEDs and 45 RGB LEDs under a translucent white diffuser panel. See Photos. Build quality feels really good. It has an aluminum frame and back with mounting holes on the bottom and the side opposite of the controls. You can mount it on a tripod or on a camera’s hot shoe with the included adapter. The use of aluminum also dissipates heat really well as it’s meant to do. It will get warm after 10 minutes of use at full power but not enough to burn you or even close. See thermal camera photos. I checked color accuracy as best I could with my X-Rite color checker. It was pretty much spot on for 3200K, 4300K and 5600K. See photos. NOTE: Nowhere could I find a CRI (color rendering index) rating for this device. Brightness is rated at 135 lumens but that must be at the lowest setting because it’s almost as bright as my LitraTorch cube and it’s rated at 800 Lumens max at a fixed 5600K. So it’s pretty bright with peak brightness at probably around 4300K with all but the RGB LEDs cooking. Using the RGB LEDs looked great and the saturation looked pure when it lit one the RGB LEDs (3 are on a chip) at a time as you went through the colors. You can adjust the Hue in degrees and Saturation as well as brightness. Be aware that when the Brightness is low and you change the Saturation from a color to white that you will not end up with pure white. Even at 100% brightness but it will be closer at 100% brightness. Run time is a mixed bag. I got a little over an hour with intensity at 100% and color at 4300K which should be the maximum load you can run on it. Specs quoting up to 14 hours would have to be at the lowest settings possible. When the display got down to 30 minutes remaining it cut off shortly afterwards. Two minutes maybe? It wouldn’t come on and stay on at any intensity setting until recharged. So from what I can tell I wouldn’t take the time remaining literally. Takes about 2.5 hours to fully recharge. I don’t know if you can run it while charging it as I didn’t try that. I would think that you could if the battery isn’t completely depleted. Depending how you plan to use this product there’s a few things to keep in mind. For what it’s meant to be it hits the target and works great. If you need to run this light more than an hour on full brightness then get something you can run external power to or at least swap batteries. If you don’t want shadows or to minimize them when shooting, say, a product on a table, get a couple of these or a ring light. If you are going to be videoing yourself or other people for more than a few minutes, get a ring light. Any of these little panel lights in the face are not fun to look at for long periods. My conclusion is this is an excellent bang for the buck. Especially if it’s on sale! A few reviews didn’t like it and some said they got a dud or it died. That does happen from time to time no matter the company. The Product has a 1 year warranty and BB has a minimum 14 day return policy.

As a content creator, I’m always on the lookout for great lighting solutions for tight spaces, and when I’m out on the road. On twitch, I’ve become accustomed to using a super bright ring light to provide some definition between myself and my Chroma Key background (Green Screen). Unfortunately, it only has two light settings bright or not bright enough. I was happy to see Digipower release a portable light, that’s battery powered, and allows for different color temps and brightness. In the box, you’ll find the light, a soft carrying case, a short USB C to USB A charging cable, and the shoe mount adapter for those looking to mount this on their favorite DSLR or Mirrorless camera. I should note, this doesn’t come with any USB charging wall plug adapter, but can be used with most (if not all) phone chargers with the included USB C cable. What I really like about this device, is that it can be mounted both vertically and horizontally. It has two standard threads that will work with most camera tripods or mounts. Since I’ve been streaming on Twitch with a greenscreen, it’s helped differentiate me from the background, and allowed for greater control of the overall look and feel of the lighting. On it’s brightest setting, it feels like a really bright flashlight, and on the lowest setting it’s similar to a dim lamp. To power it on, simply toggle the power button on the top (if held horizontally), and the LED display on the rear will show you the available power which fluctuates depending on the Mode selected or any devices charging from the USB powerbank plug. Toggling the mode button will cycle through flash settings, which on it’s own offers several different flash types to mimic the environment you’re trying to create. For instance, selection the “flash” mode and pushing into the Select Button will toggle through various scenarios. Flash group “A” for instance has various flash types to make it feel like Lightning during a storm, a TV screen like flash sequence to mimic a TV playing, or a fast flash option. You can select up to 6 different groups, all of which can be adjusted for brightness using the brightness wheel, or selected by simply pushing up and down on the select switch. Group C, for instance, mimics Police, Fire, and Ambulance lighting which can be used to light the scene for those purposes. Toggling through each of the groups will drain the battery slightly faster than just using the lighting function in HSL (Hue and Saturation) mode where you can hold the select button to change the H/S and use the brightness to properly light the area. If you’re a content creator who needs the various groups for your short film or movie, and need some on-demand lighting, it would be hard to pass this up. It’s hard to compare this to most plug-in lighting solutions, which don’t offer as many options, and won’t charge your phone (or camera) at the same time. The lighting is plenty bright, even for brighter studios, and it’s an excellent addition to anyone’s go bag or twitch stream set up.

Loved it for the first 6 months after buying it! Then it started acting up! The off and on button doesn’t function anymore, i’d have to wait for it until if out of battery then i know it’s off! And now all the control buttons are not functioning. Pretty expensive for something that wouldn’t last!

In my time with this on camera light I liked that it lit a room pretty good for video both on camera and in hand via mobile phone. The device in fact was too bright. Setup was pretty simple in that I charged it with the included usb-c cable. For me the value is having something ready to record those moments at home on my Mirrorless camera that has continous light output to record inside light like daylight at a low ISO for cleaner video. This definetely has that. Also for fun effects has an RGB so you can effectively accent your video in any color. The only con is everyone I recorded said the light was too bright. Even on the lowest setting. It would be better if this came with a diffuser so the person in the video does not feel like they are staring into light or if it had a way to bounce the light from a wall like you would a flash. In the end this device has a lot of protentional just needs a way to diffuse the light for people. The weight is very light and the battery life was long enough for a 1-1.5hr video/stream. Also can charge your smart phone from the built in power bank but I would not plan on getting too much since it still needs to power the light. See some pic's of the rgb effects. Also there was a strobe effect but not sure the value yet in that. In summary this was a nice edition to my camera setup that was missing a solid light source for video. also can have charged and ready to go with no batteries to buy. Really nice product and will be better if there will be a diffuser option in the version 2.0 of the product.

I bought this right when I bought my camera because it was on a huge sale, ($45), I’m so glad I got it, my main lens is f/4 so typically I need more light to power everything, this light has plenty of features and is SUPER bright all while still being compact, light, and overall portable. I would have paid full price for this no problem. Definitely worth the cost. Also, the battery lasts forever for how bright it is. Another nice feature about it is that it tells you how much time you have before you run out of battery.

I was in search of a portable light that also would provide a recharge option. I decided to try this product out and was impressed with the brightness of the screen along with the digital settings display and the large battery. Unfortunately the charge rate is slow for my Samsung phone. There are a lot of features for light settings and ambience which was nice. The odd thing was the balance of the hardware. It leans to the left, unable to balance in the center. It is not a big deal since I usually have it mounted just thought it was odd. Otherwise it is made well and feel sturdy. Overall I would recommend this for a light but not so much for a powerbank.

- if you’re a streamer like me this RGB light by digipower is a great product to have. it’s amazingly bright. up to 1hr 30 min run time, but that number is really based on on how bright you wanted the device to be, you can put his RGB light to 1% and it will exceed that. - this RGB light has built in 4000mAh battery ( with a power of 12W) so the ability to take this on to go gives the device even more purpose to be used - digipower rainbow also have a ton of custom theme colors that you can choose from inside the device, to access this you’ll have to press the manual button, the preset colors ranges from A-G and each letter have their own themed colors with effects that you can use - pressing the manual setting you can also adjust two color temperature from cold to warm, the temperature can be adjusted from 3200k all the way up to 5600k - the best part about that this light is the ability to pick your own color and it can take some work picking the right color you want since you will be adjust a lot with this device. - the device can also be mounted on any tripod, it can be use vertically or horizontal so if you’re a mobile blogger with an extra tripod slot for an equipment, you can easily add this rainbow rgb. this device comes with 5V USB OUT. - i’ve been enjoying this device it looks great I love the the grey framed color, the buttons are easy to use the small Oled display that gives you the information you need was great! it shows you how long your battery could last if you’re using brightness form 1% -100% - this rgb light is not cheap tho, but I feel it does a lot of things right more than any other light out there from its price range, digipower rainbow rgb cost $119.99 so yeah might throw some people off, but I do believe that it’s a solid product for it’s asking price - doesn’t mean this device is perfect, kinda wish a few things that I wish it can do, first of all you can’t save your custom light color, once you pick that color and decide to pick a different colors in the future, you are back on adjusting messing with the button to hopefully land on something that interest you. that would have been a great feature to have , but it takes a good minute to decide and that’s future since you lol be switching back and forth from adjusting the color hue and effects section. - the other thing I wish the package came with a light diffuser, knowing how crazy bright this rgb can get a light diffuser would help so much. - beyond those two things I highly recommend this rgb light for streamer/ blogger like me. if you have two it these you could create some beautiful color combinations that you can add as a color background for your webcam videos.
