I have a number of DJI's smaller drones (the Avata 2, Flip, Mini Pro 4, Mini 2, original Neo) and now have this Neo 2 and it really shines as a fantastic first drone for people new to the hobby. You can fly FPV like the Avatas, do general photo/video shots as with the Minis and Flip and then whatever you want indoors. You can do a ton of shots without even using a remote and the hand gestures work very very well. You can use your phone if you need a bit more control or better yet, one of the regular remotes for the greatest range. For yet another twist, get some goggles and a motion controller and you have nother way to enjoy this purchase and/or create cool footage. It truly is a jack of all trades, master of a few. No, the video qulaity isn;t alll the way up to the Mini series, but it's really close enough for 90% of the time. Biggest weakness is in darker settings. The size and gesture control means you bring it with you far more often and then you don;t hesitate to use it. Its size also means it won't get people afraid of you flying it around since it looks like a toy to the uninitiated. Though you really do need to follow all local rules and regulations because it is absolutely not a toy. I highly highly recommend this little guy either a first drone or a backup for fun little shots that require little pre-planning. Only con I can think of is that it is quite noisy compared to all of the other small drones in DJIs lineup. Not enough to stop you from using it, but if you've flown the others it's noticeable. Regardless, for the price, this is a must buy.
