The DJI RS4 Mini is a compact powerhouse! Despite its smaller size, it delivers pro-level stabilization that’s smooth and reliable — perfect for mirrorless setups. The build quality feels premium yet lightweight, making it easy to handle during long shoots or when traveling light. Setup is fast and intuitive, and the new auto-lock axis feature is a fantastic touch for quick transitions. I was impressed by how well it handled dynamic movement, whether I was walking, running, or capturing low-angle shots. Battery life is also excellent for such a compact gimbal. Overall, the RS4 Mini hits a sweet spot for solo creators and on-the-go filmmakers. It’s everything you need in a gimbal without the bulk. Highly recommended!

The DJI RS4 Mini is my first gimbal. I purchased the combo, which includes the briefcase handle and the AI tracking module. I am a hobbyist photographer and wanted to expand into the video/cinematography landscape. I've always wanted a gimbal after seeing them while working on a few film and commercial projects and seeing the potential they have, so I bit the bullet and purchased one. Plus, the price for the RS4 Mini is great. I'm using it with a Sony FX30 in a SmallRig HawkLock cage and my Sigma 18-50mm. Being that it's my first gimbal, I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on setup, calibration, and balancing, which is tricky when you have an external zoom lens. As with any tech, it's a matter of getting comfortable and learning how to make your gear work best for you. So far, I'm enjoying the RS4 Mini. I'd recommend the combo package, as the AI tracking is really fun to use and makes filming easy, even as a solo filmmaker. I did end up purchasing the DJI Quick Release plate for the RS4 Mini, which makes vertical/horizontal setup with my SmallRig cage possible. No tech product or otherwise is going to be perfect, but I can say that I'm happy with this purchase and that it works for my needs and setup.

This gimbal is AMAZING! The fact that it can focus and follow you as you move is one of the coolest features it has. I've never used a gimbal before, and I gotta say using this is definitely going to kick start my filming/videography hobby.

Absolutely love this thing. Extremely easy to set up. I travel with it & use it everyday 10/10. I do all vertical filming with it & love it

Excellent Gimbal! It holds my A6700 with a smallrig cage very easily. I tested it with several lenses including a larger Tamron 18-300mm, Sony 11mm 1.8, Sony 50mm 1.8, Sony 35mm FE 1.8, etc.. All handled very well. You will have trouble extending a large zoom lens cause the balance will be off to far forward to counter it in the back but for everyday. on the go/travel gimbal, you cant complain. Battery lasts forever no problem there, just make sure you balance each axis properly so your not working the motors harder than they need to.

If you are a solo creator, this thing is amazing. The active tracking sensor can lock on and even walking out of view for 40 seconds, it will still snap right back on when you walk back in sight and the motion is butter smooth. Other active tracking gimabals I have used do a lot of micro adjustments that look un-natural but this gimbal is just smooth. Their new Osmo Mobile 7P is the same for that smooth tracking. I also have their RS3 with the raveneye tracker and that thing is just too much effort to use for my small projects, so this is a welcome improvement because for the last year the RS3 has been sitting while the DJI Pocket 3 has been my primary. I think this RS4 mini will make my Sony A6700 my primary camera again. The gimbal itself has very fast turn on, it is easy to balance ALTHOUGH my a6700 barely fits physically as the grip side is nearly touching the side arm. For reference in my photos - that is the A6700 with the Sigma 16mm lens (heavy), and the Sony direct interface mic on top. Only issue is they do not let me use the slider above the trigger to control zoom. Could be an easy fix by DJI but I only have the option of using the joystick for zoom.

I have used other Gimbals and this is by far the easiest to set up, calibrate, and use. It tracks the subjects perfecting.

I really would recommend this gimbal if you have a small set up and are a solo creator. This is a solid gimbal and is great for the price.

Love this gimble. It’s lightweight super comfortable to use and doesn’t hurt your back during log filling. The intelligent tracker is phenomenal and very simple to use recharging it takes less than 30 minutes, which I find amazing, especially in my line of work. All in all it’s a fantastic gimbal and I would definitely recommend.

Bestbuy employees were helpful with my transaction, i bought a canon 85mm lens which i didnt like so i returned it, and the return process was a breeze, cashier checked the item and gave me my refund so i could buy the gimbal.

Although the customer service was good but the inspector of the product didn’t do a good job by checking the opened box items and describe on website before customers decide whether to purchase.

I used the stabilizer for about an hour, after which it stopped stabilizing, refused to auto-calibrate, and did not respond to joystick input. The build quality of the stabilizer is terrible. I handled it very carefully and gently. I was using it with a small Panasonic C9 camera. When I turn it on, it just spins, then goes into sleep mode and dangles uselessly :( NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCTS! You’re better off going with competitors like ZHIYUN!! I used a stabilizer from that brand for 3 years… but I fell for DJI’s false advertising and deeply regret it…

I would not recommend this gimbal if you have a dslr or a heavy camera since the weight will be too much

I’m really impressed with the DJI mini gimbal! It’s incredibly lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for capturing smooth, professional-looking footage. The stabilization is excellent, even when moving, and the battery life is more than enough for extended shoots. Its compact size makes it super convenient to carry around, and the build quality feels solid and reliable. Overall, it’s a fantastic tool for both beginners and seasoned videographers—I highly recommend it!

i got the DJI RS 4 Pro and used it for one event and returned it and ran to BestBuy to get the mini. OMG so much better in every way.... lighter, easier, same features. Only go with the larger PRO version if the weight of your camera is an issue, otherwise you will regret it. The Mini is perfect !!! I have a Sony A7iii and a Sigma 24-70 lens.

I shoot lifestyle, product, and car photography and this gimbal works GREAT with my R7. It's much easier to set up and balance compared to other gimbals I've purchased in the past. and I love the AI tracking attachment. Works great for my lifestyle videos. Then again ... it is made by DJI!! My only negative is that it doesn't come with a case.

Absolutely phenomenal performance out of such a small compact form factor. The load capacity sure surprised me and even though there’s no batter swapping possibility it usually doesnt even drop under 50% for my usage. Great product DJI!

Unfortunately my Canon R5C is very difficult to balance on this gimbal. Even with a tiny lens I have to put it all the way to the bottom of the tilt balance. Overall the gimbal is amazing but has a few drawbacks I want to let everyone know about. Number one the arca Swiss plate that mounts the camera to the gimbal is proprietary. Meaning you will have to get a replacement from a company that makes it specifically for the DJI Rs4 Mini. The plate is a little bit raised which causes the camera to be quite difficult to balance if it is a large camera. And I mean large not heavy my Canon R5C is barely 2 lb but I struggled trying to balance it with a 50 mm prime made of plastic. The second thing that's proprietary is the slider It looks about the size of a manfrotto style but the measurements are just a bit smaller.
