About This Item

DISCLAIMER The Doohickeys are not dating. They're just friends. The Doohickeys consists of singing and writing duo Haley Spence Brown & Jack Hackett. Haley grew up in Liberty, Missouri, helping train horses and spending time on her grandpa's cattle farm. Jack grew up in a strict Japanese-American household in Atlanta, Georgia where you had to take your shoes off at the door (everything else was pretty lax). Although they have country roots, the duo met at USC (FIGHT ON!) while working on the college TV station's satirical news show. On one fateful evening, Jack was hosting a legendary week-after-Halloween party when Haley heard the sounds of Kenny Chesney echoing through the spookily decorated halls. Right then, they discovered their mutual love of country music. The next day, instead of sitting down to write a sketch, they wrote the song I Wish My Truck Was Bigger. The pair is now gearing up to their first record All Hat No Cattle produced by two-time Grammy® nominee, Eric Corne. Their music video for InchRein It In CowboyInch won The American Songwriter music video contest, and their song InchAll Hat, No CattleInch was honorably mentioned in the May/June edition of the magazine. Their song InchThis Town SucksInch earned an award for Outstanding Songwriting in the 2023 Great American Song Contest. Their parody of Dolly Parton's Inch9 to 5,Inch titled Inch9 to 6,Inch has amassed over 3.5 million views on Instagram and TikTok. Album Tracks 1. Rein It in Cowboy 2. Can't Beat My Ol' Beater 3. This Town Sucks 4. I Don't Give a Damn About Football 5. I Wish My Truck Was Bigger 6. Farm Lawyer 7. Mr. Fix It 8. Too Ugly to Hitchhike 9. All Hat No Cattle 10. Please Tell Me You're Sleepin' 11.
