I love Doom and already owned the Game for the Xbox One. When i found out that Doom was going to be released for the Nintendo Switch I couldn't believe it. I had to double dip and buy the Switch version so I can take Doom anywhere. I was not disappointed. Now I can shoot demons while on my work breaks. The game looks and plays just like the Doom we all know and love. Sure it's only 720p in handheld mode and only runs at 60 fps but who cares...why? Because I'm holding portable DOOM in my hands and can play DOOM anywhere I want. Not only is the campaign good but the Switch version also includes Arcade Mode and Online Multiplayer. Is it worth full price for a game that's been out for over a year on other systems? Well, that's the nice thing about being a Gamers Reward member. I got $10.00 back for reserving Mario Odessey and used it towards Doom along with my 20% discount. Not bad. Making a game like Doom look and play the way it does gives me hope that we'll get to see other cool shooting games in the future for the Switch.

If you are into 1st person shooters, this is the best one made. Complete reboot on the biggest 3d shooter from 1993 and what set the bar and standards for this Genre. Its fast paced with beautiful graphics. Go get this, its a must have any you will not be disappointed. Only downside to this release for switch is no snapmap editor (level creator)

an overall good port it has all the content of the main game and it runs fairly well with occasional frame drops when things get very hectic. however it has a 9 GB download for multiplayer. this was done for them to fit the full game on the switch cartridges. so be aware this will eat up most of the base memory on your switch, overall it is a great port and a definite must have for switch owners.

Doom was my game of the year when it launched last year so when I heard it was coming to Switch I immediately jumped for joy. Then I thought to myself how in the world could this graphically intense, action packed butter smooth game run on the tablet sized Switch? Well I don’t know how Panic Button did it but the game looks and runs phenomenal on the Switch! And I’m coming from ultra settings at 4K 60fps on PC. It just blows my mind how good it looks and plays on this tiny device and best thing is that it has everything including all the dlc minus the snap maps. Bottom line is BUY THIS GAME if you have a Switch.

Doom was one of the best FPS games to come out in recent memory. While it doesn't play as well or look as good on the Switch as it does on the more powerful consoles or PC, it's still impressive that this game is playable at all on Nintendo's latest portable console. I'd definitely recommend playing with the Pro controller, which limits some of the portability, but playing Doom with the joycons is an exercise in frustration. While it is challenging to play with the Switch undocked using the joycons, the full experience is there and incredibly satisfying to play on the go.

This game is a technical marvel! The fact that the publisher/developer were able to port this game to the Switch and have it run as well as it does on the system is amazing, and speaks both to Bethesda's quality programming as well as the power of the Switch. While the game does not look as good as it does on the PC or the Xbox One / PS4, the game on the Switch is PORTABLE, and it still looks and plays amazing. If you are looking for a worthwhile FPS on the Switch, look no further. I can't speak to the multiplayer, but the single player is well worth the purchase.

After playing both the PS4 and PC versions of this game, I can say that this truely is a portable version of this amazing game. This is probably the most unique shooter I’ve played in years. The mechanics push you to stay in the action, keeping the action wonderfully chaotic. While not as technically amazing as other versions, it is impressive in its own right, being a graphical showpiece for the system. If you’re looking for some action on your Switch, pick this up.

Doom was one of the best games released in 2016. Now it is available for the Nintendo Switch, and the experience is just as good as it was on other consoles last year. The Switch port has graphical compromises as it is essentially a tablet, but once you start slaying demons on the go you'll quickly realize that they are well worth it. Doom is worth being played on any console, but only on Switch will you be able to play it portably. Overall this is a fantastic port and while playing it on my Switch I couldn't help but keep looking at the system itself and wondering how it could play this game. Definitely recommend as it is a fantastic game, and also a showpiece for what the diminutive Switch is capable of.

I have only played Doom in handheld mode, so I have yet to see how it runs on a TV. I am beyond impressed with how it runs on handheld mode. It is evident many compromises have been made to accommodate such a taxing game on what is essentially an NVIDIA Shield tablet, but the experience is excellent. Motion blur is utilized to smooth out any choppy frame drops that occur from time to time. I have played about five hours in the campaign on a fully charged Switch, and after two the battery was at 55%, so if you take this on the go, have a back up battery or your charger handy. The controls are smooth but it takes a minute to get used to pressing down on the right stick for action. Overall, I strongly recommend this game to any Switch owner that has any desire to see more FPS and third-party titles on the system. It's not every day you see a fully-realized triple A game on Nintendo hardware. I will update this review once I dock the system and play it on my TV.

Let's get this out first. To get this game to run on the switch, it was never going to be a perfect port of the console/pc release. This is still an amazing title for the switch, especially for anyone who did not play it last year. 30fps remains mostly solid, and while they had to reduce textures and add a lot of motion blue to make that happen, the gameplay has made the transition intact. The fact that this is portable as well is a huge benefit, though playing in tablet form with the joycons attached is less than ideal for comfort.

I recommend this game for people who have or haven't played this game. It's fun, awesome and even better it's portable now! Story is awesome and the multiplayer online is pretty good. Of coarse the graphics and resolution were to bed down But even then I really enjoy it. I really don't think it's worth $60 it's pretty much cheaper on every other platform, but if you have gamers program 20% off!

It was great to get this portable version of Doom on the Nintendo Switch. Honestly it looks and plays great, and there's nothing like being on the go and being able to play Doom right away. I already had this on Xbox One but it's worth it to double dip, so now I'm looking forward to Wolfenstein 2, didn't get it on Xbox now, waiting for the Switch version

I own this game on the PS4, but having the ability to play it anywhere on the go is just astounding. I think this is a great addition to the switch’s library, it looks great, it runs well and it’s a lot of fun. The studio who posted the game over to the switch did a great job and this experience has been very positive.

It’s clear, beyond the obvious limitation with resolution and frame-rate, that DOOM for Switch has had to make some restrictions. Even so, for those who haven’t yet experienced one of last year’s finest, most surprising releases, DOOM even now represents one of the genre’s finest moments for some time. Clearly, those who already own the game on another platform will have to think long and hard over the novel value of having a game of this caliber on the go. And while the visual blemishes and rough edges do detract on occasion and are clear to spot, playing DOOM on the Nintendo Switch still conjures that same jubilant energy that id Software’s behemoth has long been praised for. Tainted in its visuals it might be, the heart, soul and demon-crushing ferocity of its gameplay, in the end, shines through regardless.

Only 30 fps on the switch, but the story is great and I think the graphics and performance are good considering the limitations of the hardware. But now you can play mobile!

Doom is back on a nintendo console! It's an intense game and runs very well, especially considering that it's a portable console. The graphics are very good though slightly less polygon count and lower res textures compared to ps4/xb1 but still impressive.

I️ played The Doom reboot on PS4 when it came out and was blown away (literally, in game). It’s shocking that they were able to fit that same experience into the switch version. Loses a star because of lower frame rate and graphics quality, but playing Doom on the go is regardless and incredibly satisfying experience.
