Wasn't sure about this one, but I wanted to know what Mel Gibson was up to these days. I hadn't seen anything with him in it recently. This movie does not disappoint. Watching Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn trade dialog is a joy. The movie is slow and methodic but never uninteresting. It pays off in the end. I liked it because it was filmed with a steady traditional style like the way they used make movies in the 70's. A character driven story with slick camera shots that you can focus on and enjoy.

I bought this movie initially because of the actor line up, actors I enjoy watching. The movie did not disappoint me. The theme of this movie was very realistic and I could see why people do what they normally would not do. I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to my friends. I do not want to give the ending away but it made me sad. Enjoy!!!

I saw this movie on cable TV, I didn't expect it to be this good with Vince Vaughn and Mel Gibson. I was pleasantly surprised, good story. Really good performance, another movie for my collection.

This movie isn't about good cops vs criminals nor about corrupt cops vs anybody. It's about very human cops making choices and having to deal with the consequences. Quite a few innocent people get hurt in this movie with no apparent benefit for anybody else. That's hard to watch, but more realistic than the usual massive shootouts and car chases cop movies have.

Mel Gibson had a strong performance. Good transformation story of how good cops turn bad under stressful circumstances. The level of violence was a bit difficult to understand at times but it was consistent with the characters and how depraved they were in pursuing money. The ending was interesting and surprising.

Not the typical good guys/ bad guys story. Most of the characters are villains in varying degrees. Plot moves even when the film is 2 1/2 hours. Looks good. The ending? You decide if you like it or not. Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn have good chemistry. Quick cameo from an aging Don Johnson

Movie does kinda start off slowly but definitely pays off at the end. The way the plot crafts 3 different stories together as one was really done well. Would def recommend

A slow character study done to a painfully slow degree, so you're gonna have to be in the mood for a more mellow piece of cinema, but it is well worth a watch, great direction and solid performances.

Three great actors - Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn and Don Johnson - together in a cop movie. I enjoyed seeing these guys together playing off each other. Fairly decent plot line kept me interested.

Definitely was not sure what to expect with this one. It did not disappoint from the start. Don't leave your seat because you will miss something key to the plot. Without a doubt, surprised by the ending. Not bad, but not a great movie.

What starts out a bit slow with overly long scenes really turns a corner at around the halfway point. Brutal, intense, and one of the best movies I've seen this year. If you like this, check out the director's other films, Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99.

This film is a little bit overlong but other than that it is extremely entertaining. Gibson and Vaughn are great and there is a 40 min segment that is really incredible!

Mel Gibson gives a gritty performance, as a dirty cop trying to make ends meet for his family. Sadly it shows the darker side of what dirty cops do to make ends meet.

My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

Its a good movie; but not a great movie. It has it high and low moments. Its a little to long and drawn out, but overall the story and the acting is solid. Its worth a look.

Writer-director S. Craig Zahler has proven he is the strongest filmmaking voice to come out since Quentin Tarantino with his third effort. He has made 3 instant, violent and controversial classics that will stand the test of time!

I liked Cell Block 99 so I took a chance with this one too and wasn’t disappointed. Vaughn and Gibson make a hell of a team
