Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a fun and engaging RPG with beautiful graphics, exciting combat, and memorable characters. The story kept me interested from start to finish, and exploring the world was enjoyable. Definitely worth playing for Dragon Age fans and newcomers alike.

Dragon Age Veilguard sees the series shift into an action RPG. Some minor control issues mire the responsiveness, but the combat is incredibly solid and satisfying. There’s enough build variety for every player to find a play style that suits them. The game is long ( about 60-80 hours) and maintains a high quality of level design and graphics, bringing to life a gorgeous world full of so many set pieces and secrets. The performance on console is flawless too, with the game maintaining 60 FPS while looking really good. The writing is the only part that truly falters. It’s incredibly uneven, especially near the beginning, and swings from kind of lame and marvel-esque to really captivating and interesting. Its nowhere near as bad as online reviews say though. The most infamous scenes make up like 5% of the game, if even that. For such a low price, you absolutely should give this game a try for yourself.

This game was a long time coming. It was finally announced and I think it was at least decently worth the wait. In my opinion there are plenty of positives, as well as negatives with this one. I do think the good outweighs the bad, but when the bad shows up, it really stands out. The last act of the game is pretty much as perfect as you could ask for today. It really felt like the Bioware of old. It's disappointing that decisions from previous games don't have as big of an impact as previous entries and other Bioware titles. The cast is enjoyable enough. The game has some of the best hair for games if that is something that matters to you. There are some truly beautiful environments. Overall, the story is good but not great. With the price it's going for now, I would say you can't really go wrong. The negatives that you may find in places online are far overblown to me. I bought the game at launch and have now repurchased to play through again now that it is cheap.

As a game it has lots of details during the game and trys to keep you on the path of progression to keep the game moving forward. There are areas of the game that have player interaction but not sure if the responses really make a difference. So far it’s been enjoyable to play but not as free to roam around based on storyline. Something i will trying to finish.

The game runs well and it was fun. But being fun, you still questions some of the decisions about the game.

Dragon Age The Veilguard is a good game action rpg with flaws, the writing it's weakest part. I've played through the game several times and have had fun playing it everytime. The action, combat...etc is good but the dialogue is pretty bad especially with the character Taash, it just wasn't needed and really didn't fit the overall story.

I almost didnt buy this game because of all the bad reviews from influencers. This game gives you hours fun, great combat and a deep story with relationships and character building companions.

I pre-ordered this because I was curious about it. I sat out the last two iterations of Dragon Age. I played the original on PC when it was first released and loved it. You felt that your choices in the game mattered to the story arc. So, I figured what the heck, I’ll give this one a try. What follows are my thoughts. 9 hours into the game. The graphics of the game are spectacular. Some of the views in the game you just want to look at and admire. That being said, once you’re in the cities, while they look nice, they are mostly window dressing. You can’t interact with citizens at all. They may have a blurb here or there about their life or the situation, but that is it. Not much to work with. The main quests are the bread and butter of the game, and you will spend a lot of time, of course, on them. But the side quests are relatively boring for me so far. Mostly helping a companion discover her new powers or something like that. Pretty boring. Also, there is a romance system. However, I don’t find anyone attractive enough to date my version of Rook. So, there is that. The fighting system is where the game really loses me. I love a good turn-based fight in an RPG. Sadly, they take the route of Final Fantasy VII's fighting system, and it is hack and slash. This is combat at its most basic, and enemies are pretty boring. I have set the game on story mode now so I can blow through the combat and beat this 75-dollar investment. Finally, the story is fairly standard, and so far, I don’t feel like my decisions have any meaning in how the story plays out. The banter between the characters can be fun, and we’ll see where it goes. Overall, it’s a pretty meh game, to be honest. I’ll still beat it, as there is nothing new to play for me. I will also say I feel like Bioware is no longer the gaming powerhouse they once were. I do not have great hopes for the next Mass Effect, as I feel like they have officially lost their way. Hope this helps.

You wait 400 million years for another DA game, you never think its gonna happen, then they announce it, it changes titles it takes another 400 million years and you get this. It a fine game just did not feel like a Dragon Age game, unsurprising since the original creators weren't really a part of its creation. Bummer.

Such a fun game, bought it on a whim and lo and behold. I liked it. Just got over 20 hours into it!

This game has fun mechanics and gets your mind into the fantasy world, but lacks in what made me love dragon age inquisition. The world is not very open and feels small. You are limited to 3 skills vs the multitude prior which only allows for a small variety. You can't play as your comrades, but can use their support skills. They story is alright, with random garbage filler stuff that doesn't add to character depth. I would only recommend this game if it is under 15 dollars

Overall for the price I got it for it was worth it. Its a Dragon Age game. I recall it getting a lot of hate on release and I can see why if you paid full price for the game. The dialogue choices seem to barely matter and there are very clearly narratives being pushed in the background about real life.

Great game, ignore the people who are mad because it's not exactly like previous entries in the series. It's still very fun and a good get if it's cheap.
