Store associate told me to order it myself online

I went into the store & purchased a 2nd controller for my daughter's game system. I asked two store associates if they could help me find a specific game & i was told to download the app & order it myself which i thought was odd bc they have ordered several items for me before in store & had the items shipped to me. Unfortunately i purchased an add on to the game instead of the actual game & BestBuy couldn't care less. They have refused to refund me or even exchange what i bought for the game I wanted. I'm just disappointed that I was in the store. And this could all have been easily avoided.
