Love the remake version as it polished the story lines and made the characters come to life!

As a huge fan of the original game and the DS version this one I was a little worried about how it would end up. The conclusion is that Square knocked it out of the park. This is one of the best remakes/reimaginings ever.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined nails exactly what a modern remake should be. The new art style avoids both HD‑2D and the overly shiny 3D look, landing instead on a warm and clean aesthetic. It fits the game perfectly. The updated settings are a huge win: older players can enjoy a faster, smoother run, while new players can take their time and experience the full scope of DQ7’s world. It respects everyone’s pace, which is rare for a 100‑hour RPG. It’s absolutely a must‑have for any Dragon Quest or JRPG collection. The only downside is the Switch 2 version being a key card instead of a full game on cartridge, while the Switch 1 release is complete. It’s a strange choice for a game this long and this beloved.

The developers of this game call it a "re-imagining" and not a remake and should be seen as such. Compared to the PlayStation original and 3DS remakes, this iteration of DQ7 makes substantial changes to the pacing and overall world in order to make this the most streamlined experience players will get. Graphics are very sharp and the game runs very smooth. Highly recommend to fans of the series as well as any RPG fans.

It’s a great game so far very true the original and great graphics. I do wish that we could zoom in a little bit with the camera because the characters are very small.

I’ve never played a JPRG before, but I’m hooked now. The best part about this one is the HD textures and chibi art style (which makes the game feel playful and more inviting to a new user of Japanese games).

Beautiful remaster! I played this on the 3ds and it was a fun addition to the Dragon Quest games. The new switch 2 version is gorgeous, and I loved that I could play the demo and carry progress over into the actual game. If you’re on the fence play the demo.

Game runs well in the switch 2. Pretty standard turn based fighting. Solid remake.

A great DQ game, if a little easy. I recommend turning up the difficulty and lowering the XP and profession points. But all in all another great title.

Great game so far! Dig the art style! Classic turn base combat JRPG!

Man this game had me stuck for about a week. I just wish it was a bit harder. Even with all the setting set to hardest I still felt it was just too easy and all the chest they put out there are either repetitive items or useless. Imagine if they made a pokemon game in this kind of art and battle system.
