I bought this splitter to fix a problem between two separate antennas, going to two different tuners in my home theater system. I wanted to use a single antenna for both items, but since both antennas were amplified, previous "one-way" splitters would not carry and amplified antenna signal from one antenna to both tuners. With this Dynex 2-way coaxial splitter, I was able to dispose of my older, more finicky antenna, and get a good, strong signal from one antenna to both units . . . and reduce the cable clutter in my living room at the same time. My wife really likes that last part!

Great frequency range of 5 to 2050Mhz. Low insertion loss of 3.5db. Small footprint.

These 2-way splitters are exactly as advertised. I purchased five of these and they all tested up to 2050Mhz with an insertion loss of only 3.5db as measured on a commercial field strength meter (Sadelco FSM-3DSV). I highly recommend these splitters for any splitter/combiner configurations

The title of this review says it all. This well finished 2 to 1 co-axial splitter is both functional and very affordable. While not effecting my rating, I must add Kudos to the staff at Wilton NY, and the remarkably smooth in store pick up process.

I use this to split my wall output into two so that I can run my internet router and watch TV at the same time. This splitter does the job quite well.

I purchased this splitter specifically to allow use of an attic antenna to feed two upstairs TV sets with over the air broadcast signals. Attached to the relatively small antenna is an amplifier intended to boost signal levels allowing multiple feeds. The amp head unit mounts close to the antenna feed (to minimize line losses and noise pick-up), but requires sending power to the amp head unit from an inline power supply connected to the coaxial cable feedline. The DC passthru ability with this splitter allows connecting the power supply feed to either one of the split antenna output cable runs at a convenient spot near one of the TV's, while the other output cable can be run directly to the 2nd TV in another room. If the splitter did not have the ability to pass DC current, as many older splitters will not, then both the amp head unit and power supply would need to be connected before the line splitter, which is not convenient because a power outlet is not available in the unfinished attic and I would have to run a long extension cord in addition to the cable. The performance of the Dynex splitter as strictly a 2-way TV signal splitter is as least as good as any other TV coaxial splitter, as far as I can tell, so no problems there. In short, it does the job I intended it to do.
