Q: Will this case also fit an Ipad mini 4?
A: No it will be too big for the ipad mini 4
Q: can you use the case with the smart cover
A: Yes, the entire left side is left open between the top and bottom corners to accommodate an Apple smart cover (or cheaper knockoff). However, since I do not use one of those, and instead rely on a ballistic glass screen protector, I find the omission of that entire side of the case very inconvenient.

A: Yes, works with the cover. This product and the cover keeps the Ipad protected.
