With support for up to 1920 x 1080p resolution, this Dynex™ DX-PD94502 adapter lets you connect your computer's DisplayPort interface to an HDMI type-A input, so you can enjoy a sharp, vibrant picture. PC and ABS housing creates a durable design.
Q: Is this adapter active or passive?
A: This was a tricky question for me also. After months of reading specs, trying to understand the difference, and why no one simply specifies this in their product description, here is what you need to know - if you are trying to send video to a tv or monitor that supports 1920x1080 resolution, this adapter is for you. If you are trying to send video to a 4K or below tv or monitor, choose an adapter that says 4K in the product description.
A: i tried the same combination but it is not working.
Q: Does this adapter transmit audio?
A: Yes
Q: Can I connect the usb on ps4 and then to HDMI to tv will it work
A: This isn’t a USB cable; the ‘Display Port’ is a different shaped connector. Also, the PS4 will not output video via USB like you are trying to do.
A: If your laptop has a DisplayPort and your monitor has an HDMI port, using this adapter with an HDMI cable should work.
A: This will not work for your needs. You will need to use an HDMI switch like I have recommended. It will allow you to hook up 3 separate HDMI devices to one HDMI port on your TV and switch between them.
A: This adapter has an HDMI Out.
Q: On my ps4 console the hdmi is broken. Would this work on the console?
A: No, this will not work on the console.
