Good buy
I purchased this item for my daughter. She has been asking for a selfie stick. She likes the ease of setting it up and it works well for taking group selfies. Construction seems like it should last for a few years. I bought it at a great price ,so I believe I it was a good buy. I would recommend buying especially if it is on sale.

Solid purchase
I always made fun of selfie sticks but my wife and I started going on a lot of vacations thanks to my work. This thing is a lifesaver. Easily captures photos that would normally be ruined.
